These are the two files needed for fixing the menubar appearance and restoring the old taskbar on Win11 23H2 and Win11 24H2. On Win11 23H2 you need ony one file, on Win11 24H2 you need both.
The size of the files is very small, which hints that the main code is still there in 24H2.

Thanks. I hope this fixes the Open Shell Start Menu hovering a foot above Retrobar.

Thanks. I hope this fixes the Open Shell Start Menu hovering a foot above Retrobar. It does not affect Retrobar or other third-party software.

Thanks. I hope this fixes the Open Shell Start Menu hovering a foot above Retrobar. It does not affect Retrobar or other third-party software. No you misunderstand. In the latest windows 11 you cannot change the size of the taskbar so OpenShell seems to open it's Start Menu at the point on the screen where the top of the, now hidden, Windows Taskbar is. I have Retrobar set to the smaller button size which is the correct default XP size. As a result it looks like the Start Menu hovers quite a bit away from the Taskbar/Retrobar. If your file restores the old taskbar then it should be possible to change the taskbar size and hopefully fix the issue. Only one way to find out. I'll have to login to my temp Windows 11 install and try it out.

Unfortunately when I replace Explorer.exe with this one I just get a black screen when I login.

I wonder if something's interfering with it. Like some Windhawk mod or something. I'll try it again tomorrow.

I tried the explorer.exe in a fresh Windows 11 24H2 installation on an emulator. Upon logging in I still just get a black screen. Mine is the LTSC iOT version, I wonder if that has anything to do with anything?

So, only file from Win10 works? Or one has to enable Win10 taskbar using Vivetool?

Here I am using startallback now with each update I no longer need to touch the explorer, it makes it cool, I don't even need to turn off the ribbon anymore

Here I am using startallback now with each update I no longer need to touch the explorer, it makes it cool, I don't even need to turn off the ribbon anymore Since you are not using menubar and not opening each folder in a new window, you possibly will not feel the glitches in ExplorerFrame.dll on Win11 23h2 and 24h2. Thus, whether you are using startallback is irrelevant. Stop advertising it in unrelated topics. Ribbon can be disabled via registry, using EP or Windhawk.
