Hi, R.O.B. another suggestion, is there any way that you can add a dark mode to this forum?

Hi, R.O.B. another suggestion, is there any way that you can add a dark mode to this forum? Currently, if you enable the "SysCol" mode and you have a dark color scheme on your system, this will be applied to WinClassic.

Currently, if you enable the "SysCol" mode and you have a dark color scheme on your system, this will be applied to WinClassic. This is true, and is the current way to achieve it. However, I do have to acknowledge that this is not an option for many users, as their choice of browser and/or OS may not support it. An official, proper dark mode does sound like a good idea, and should be relatively easy to implement. I will work on this when I have the chance.

should be relatively easy to implement. Famous last words. This is turning out to be a bit more difficult than expected, as it has exposed many color setting issues with the other themes that need to be addressed first (this is necessary since all of the main WinClassic themes are essentially the same theme with different parameters, and the dark theme I am working on is no exception). I will do my best to get most stuff sorted out as soon as possible, and will make a beta version of the dark theme available once it's ready.

I have Dark Mode enabled in my browser it it doesn't apply Dark Mode to this site, also you didn't get back to me in the messages since July 14th I have more things I wanna get off my chest about Windows in a Private DM.

Extensions like "dark reader" can make this website fully dark and I personally didn't notice any artifacts.

SysCol mode uses classic Windows colors to reproduce them in the forum. This is true for any color, including dark colors.

Overall I agree. However I would move Windows Vista and 7 down one rank. I would move Mac OS X Panther and Windows 3.x up two ranks. I would move TDE/KDE 3 up one rank. I would move Windows 10 up one rank. I would move recent MAC OS X and Deepin down one rank. Finally, is it Cinnamon that you placed in the last rank? On the other hand I can't make out Gnome; in which rank did you place it? Is this from a private message? Cause I don’t understand anything here

No, it is already being worked on. I will make it public once it's ready. Any updates? Progress is a bit slower that I would like, but it is going. There has been a lot of stuff going on with me over the past few months, and to be honest, I don't really expect things to slow down before the end of the year. However, I am still hoping to have a public beta ready before too much longer here, and I do really appreciate everyone's patience with this!

I am happy to announce that the public beta for WinClassic Dark is officially live!
This has been a lot of work to finally finish, much more than I initially expected it to be. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it has been the most difficult theme I have worked on to date. The main reason for this is because it was kind of a nightmare to get the CSS to play nicely with the other themes (the mobile layout and WinClassic SysCol in particular gave me a lot of trouble due to the way ProBoards handles colors). A lot of restructuring was required to make this work!
If anyone happens to find any issues with WinClassic Dark, please post them here. I will try and address them as soon as I am able to.

This looks good on Firefox with IE10 theme.
