Hey lovely community! Since Win 10 is heading towards EOL, I decided it's time to try it. Installed it in dual boot with Win 7 and now trying to recreate to look and feel I had for over a decade. Before: i.imgur.com/oxeWVZq.pngAfter: i.imgur.com/NfF58nz.pngThere are still some issues I can't find a solution for. 1. Removing the underlines in taskbar. What I've tried. Modifying the msstyles. TaskBand2 - Bartop > change ContentMargins bottom to -2 TaskBand2 - TaskItem > remove Textcolor states Works just fine, but is not applied to second monitor. Maltsev's taskbar resizer. Seems it can't make the taskbar smaller. 2. The fonts. Please check the before/after screens, the Control Panel fonts. Are there more places in Win 10 where Segoe is hardcoded now or I just can't remember how to change it? Now it seems uses MS Sans. I noticed the are some places where to icons (▼♫) are not displayed. Would be great to fix it. It seems i tried every combination in registry with Fonts/FontSubstitutes. 3: The colors. Where does the highlighted color comes from?

Where does the highlighted color comes from? 99% of those are in the msstyles so, change the stuff in there instaid of doing Classic theme metrics.

If you want to have a good windows 7 look, then you could find a windows 7 theme, but make sure you also have secureuxtheme too, get the windows 7 icons, use open-shell, explorerpatcher, and startisback (only if you want), and also the vista/7 segoe ui.

Regarding the fonts, googled a bit more, found this article and figured it out - it appears I have remapped "Segoe UI Symbol" in FontSubstitutes. One way to do it, is to use AccentPalette tool Just tried it, can't get into unsupported colors. So these are basically not the colors, but a generated accents of color?

You have to either change the theme colors to fit for "accepted" values, or just to adapt to what's available - all the same.
