I've been using Blank Your Monitor (BYM) plugin for a long time. It's very simple one, and it just works, although it has its (minor) quirks. Problem is, that the way it's made, doesn't work anymore on new versions of Firefox.
Developer of that plugin had a web page, where he explained what has changed, and why it doesn't work anymore (on new versions of FF). But that page is gone.
I still have older versions of FF, which can use it, 52.8.1 and Waterfox 2022.11, which pose yet another problem: some websites don't look the way they are supposed to anymore, when using such 'outdated versions'.
So, I've been looking for alternative plugins, that the newer versions of FF or WF accept, but so far, nothing seems to match BYM. For example, the latest one I've tested, "Dark Background and Light Text 0.7.6", seems to work on some sites, but again, some sites have just weird colors. No coherent results at all.
I wonder how crippled FF has become, to accept (or rather not) any working third party solution(s).
It may not be everyone's cup of tea to use such plugins, but some of us just can't stand screaming white backgrounds, while surfing on the net after the sun has set.
Any thoughts/experiences/suggestions on the subject?

One FF extension, that doesn't actually change website colors, but instead works as an on/off switch for the FF's color settings, is Toggle Website Colors (Global):
Of course, it's not perfect and has limited amount of objects to apply colors on. Links on some sites have odd color (not sure yet where such color value is stored), though.
For some reason, changing the colors in FF's settings doesn't seem to work at all in W7 (using same or similar FF versions as in W10), resulting high contrast white appearance on web pages, no matter what the color settings are.
Anyway, here is current screenshot using FF 115.13.0 esr (64-bit) in W10:

Not to be confused, R.O.B. is probably still working on the dark theme for WinClassic Forum

This is about Firefox as a whole, not WinClassic in particular
