I'm on Windows 10 22H2. I've been using SecureUXTheme for 8 months with absolutely zero issues, but recently it has stopped working. I switched to the classic theme about a week ago, but wanted to flip back and try some other stuff out. Reset metrics and disabled everything through SCT like I usually do, getting me a stock Win10 theme. Went to open ThemeTool.exe, it gives me the usual warranty disclaimer, I press ok, then nothing. Simply does not open. No matter how many times I restart my machine, disable Windhawk mods, redownload SUXT and enable/disable themes, I get nowhere.
Checked the Event Viewer, nothing at all. In task manager I see ThemeTool disappear when I press ok on disclaimer, it does not run in the background. I am fully up to date but have not run any non-Defender updates since last patch Tuesday. The only thing I have changed with the system recently is fixing DCOM errors I was getting due to having disabled the InputApp, but I'd disabled it when I installed the OS last year. Perhaps this is why it broke, but it's baffling how the two could be related. In any event, I suppose my theming days are over for the time being as I don't have the time to reload everything to stock and start over. DCOM errors were the only thing bugging me before because they were refreshing the desktop/taskbar nonstop, but this is a known issue. Otherwise my system runs fine.
Edit: It appears to be more than just me. More people have the issue.

Same too. What the hell was going on with my SecureUXTheme?

Third person to confirm that this is broken has come forward in another thread. Definitely something up here. I just set up a Win10 22H2 VM and without applying any additional updates the tool works, so something has changed recently.

What I've tried using the tool: Updating my Windows, didn't work. Updating my NVIDIA Driver, didn't work. Running as Administrator, didn't work. Running as Safe Mode, it works. And I found the reason of issue is on GitHub. github.com/namazso/SecureUxTheme/issues/192

It seems to still be working for me. This is 2021 LTSC.

There must be a difference in patches then, it's definitely broken on 22H2 with latest patches.
I installed a 22H2 VM, theme tool works fine with no additional updates but when you take everything from Windows Update it immediately stops opening. No other modifications made.
This is a good sign though, the future of Win10 really lies with LTSC for themers so hopefully it continues to work.

If it's just the SecureUXTheme GUI that's blocked, there's really no need to worry. As I said in a previous post, it's possible to use WinaeroThemeSwitcher by adding it to the registry. I haven't tested it, but i t seems to work.

I was the same, I wanted to change theme, it opened the warranty but didn’t get past it, but it works with default theme

I still haven't figured out if the whole of SecureUxTheme is blocked or if it's just ThemeTool that is blocked.

I can confirm that this method works. I'm on Win 10 22H2 19045.4894 and I used Themeswitcher.exe (for Win 8) to switch between several 3rd party themes. But I don't know if the function "Patch and Apply" from themetool.exe is applied or anyway necessary by Themeswitcher.exe in the first .msstyle-modification.
Thanks OrthodoxWin32 for this solution!

The fix does work luckily, hopefully it's a bit easier for a solution/alternative to be found if the actual patch was not broken. The dev did finally respond to a GitHub issue about this, but only with a solution that does not work at all.
