Hello! This is my first time here, and I am a total noob, so I apologize in advance if I do not seem any coherent or if I do not touch correctly on the issue.
Recently, I got invested in transforming Windows 10 to look like Windows Vista, and I stumbled upon this particular video that goes very in depth with such, even down to programs:

At one point, the person in the video installs WMP11, and checking his credits/install links list, it leads to this tutorial:

Following the steps in this video, I got WMP to work accordingly, but I noticed (after a bit of trial and error, for I initially had no idea this was the cause) that upon installing WMP this way, my UAC settings tab thingy (useraaccountcontrolsettings.exe, if that is the right name for it) no longer opens..
I should specify that UAC itself works as intended, but the settings program related to it refuses to simply open ever again, no matter where I try to access it from. Rolling back Windows to before WMP was installed fixed the issue, and I can open that particular tab again.
Could someone please spare the time to understand what the root cause of this issue is, and how to solve it? While it is not something inherently dangerous, and UAC itself still works, I consider this behaviour to be something unprompted, and I would like to know if there is a workaround to both installing the program and keeping the UAC settings capable of being opened at all.
Alternatively, is there an alternative someone knows on installing WMP11? Simply trying the old installers does not work, something about being deprecated. Thank you in advance!
