Hello everyone, I'm stressing a bit because MSFT is planning on scrapping WMP at some point. WMP 12 is critical to Windows including running old software like WMC, Windows Movie Maker 2.6, 6.0, 16 (Live Movie Maker), Windows DVD Maker (Ported out by my community and is available for download), Zune (CRITICAL for Zune community) and other software. I'm needing the help of the most sophisticated reverse engineers out there that can help me build an installer for WMP 12 that will install correctly to reflect Windows Media Format SDK support that other software can detect. One of those software is the Zune software. Please if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Hello howeitworks , and welcome to the WinClassic forum ! Like enderboy, I have not been able to find the information that MS wants to remove WMP12. In any case, the community will be attentive if it happens; WMP12 is not a difficult application to port in case of removal, because it takes the form of a series of add-ons, rather than a built-in component of Windows.
