That's how I even made the mock-up. But is it possible to add in the shell itself? And how?

I know that it can be done with QTTabBar, with Compatible Folder View, but it fucks up the Quick Access folder's icons so that's a no-no. And no I will NOT be replacing it with the Favorites folder, Quick Access is way better functionally

What do you mean? Quick access looks normal to me I know you are mocking me for not wanting to conform, but this is what I mean I'm not mocking you, I wanted to see if I could help because I've used this program for almost a decade and never had this issue, turning on "show recently used files in quick access" also shows the correct icons I'm not sure what setting I enabled or disabled to separate the folders and files Sorry I came off wrong, I should've phrased that better

I'm not sure if this will help, but I remember switching versions of qttabbar about a year ago after having some other issues with it, could that possibly be it? I'm also using the original, I think there's a newer fork that currently has less features, but the version I'm using is version 1043 qttabbar.wikidot.com/

Also, I can't rly find the "show recently used files in quick access" setting anywhere, not the default shell explorer and the QTTabBar settings?

How did you make the tabs classic? I use a custom skin based off IE's classic tabs, I think there's a setting to make it use the tab control ui, but I'm not sure if it works with the classic theme on 10
