Hello, i am using the "Bring back Borders" Windhawk mod for the Windows 7 Aero theme in Windows 11. When an app starts, it works properly like this: However, when i unfocus the app, the borders get removed and look like something from Windows 9x:

Windows 11 only shows thick borders on high contrast, without high contrast even if you make the borders thick they will still appear as 1PX. So the info on that thread is useless in 11. the WH mod tries to trick DWM into thinking that high contrast mode is enabled so it draws thick borders. But the mod has been broken since its release, and not fixed till this day.

I'm just gonna wait for the mod to be fixed (make DWM think High Contrast is active for every window related hook: focus, unfocus, move, scale, etc..) or a better mod to be made because i can't downgrade to Windows 10

oh my god finally, consistent borders in windows 11. In the repo it also has an Aero theme for Windows 11 (not 10). Just follow the instructions in HOWTO.txt and you should be good.

ZeeAy tselim I think there is also a mod specific to 24H2 (also written by teknixstuff), if I find it I could post it.

When i disabled the mod, the thick borders would show up. But this doesn't last forever .
