Hi, I’m currently making a Windows XP classic theme dark mode, but I don’t know where the start button is located, can anyone give me help?

I believe the Start button is treated like any other button on the system. So if you wanted to make every control dark, you'd only need to change the button colours in display properties like usual. If you wanted to change some other stuff on the start button, like the logo, then you'll need Resource Hacker. Looks good so far. I'm not booted into Windows at the moment so have checked them out in a classic theme designer. So far, it looks pretty good - I have had a look into the colours, and I think using a dark grey for buttons and menus, rather than black, might make things look a tad more classic while still keeping with the aim of being a dark mode. Windows Classic.theme (2.99 KB)

Link: tpenguinltg.github.io/winclassic/But basically, there's some things that require you to edit the theme file itself to change - not sure why MS didn't allow for some things to be changed without editing the file in a text editor though.
