I use a classic shell theme that is essentially classic theme in xp layout.
The only thing that doesn't work are the 3d borders. I do have classictheme enabled though.

IIRC you'd have to restart Explorer to get the 3D Border thing on the Classic Shell Start Menu.

Sorry to bump, but I too am having this issue and restarting explorer.exe did not help. Actually, that caused a whole set of issues on its own because of the innefficient way my theme works.
