we got Startisback classicshell 7 taskbar tweaker oldnewexplorer winxshell reactos explorer_new
So my idea is why not take the code from all of them above and create a brand new shell we would not need to run classicshell on top of explorer if it IS part of explorer or startisback taskbar if its part of explorer same thing goes for the 7 taskbar tweaker taskbar listing just take them all and unite them into one shell ...
Why has nobody done this before?

Cause I don't think StartIsBack++ is opensource and start9 is pretty much that

yes but can message the guy who made it w7explorer for win8 ask him to share the taskbar at least then we can theme it pretty easy 7 taskbar tweaker guy released some code and winxshell is open + reactos shell too cram it all into a nice classic windows explorer then microsoft may destroy the shell any way they want but we be with a standalone explorer program that would be way better. Start9 is mostly themed i never saw it in classic mode. start9.menu/2018/new-stuff-on-the-horizon.html The dreadded so called improved startmeny yuck + themes

Start9 is mostly themed i never saw it in classic mode. No it isn't. Why would I be marketing it to you and other Classic Theme users if it couldn't deliver? You're objecting to the entire shell based on the mere existence of a few of the modules we offer? Literally the entire point of Start9 is to allow anyone to build any shell they can dream of. Nobody's forcing you to use a particular set of modules. You don't have to have a Taskbar at all, for all we care. You wouldn't be complaining about any of that if you actually knew what Start9 was.

Okay so its like a windows shell where you can do lots of stuff yourself kinda like firefox with classic theme restorer where you move around buttons and stuff add menus etc am i correct? Well, they're both extremely flexible...but the means is certainly very different... Let me put it this way: Start9 itself has no UI at all, other than a settings interface. It's a platform. The idea is that a developer - any developer - can write a Module for Start9. This Module could be a Dock, a Global Menu Bar, an Application Launcher, a File Manager...basically a piece of a shell. The user can then download a handful of these Modules to create whatever weird arrangements they can dream of. There's no rule that says you have to have this Start Menu with this Taskbar...hell, there's no rule that says you have to have a (Task)bar on some edge of your screen. For all we care, you could set your desktop up to look like a typical Android launcher, or something else I haven't even thought of. I start to like this project now when i see what its about Looks cool so whats left to do? A lot. We're making good progress, but we've still got a looooong way to go. We will it be long before beta testing?? Quite a while yet.

I have no idea. Making it possible for applications which explicitly support it is definitely on the table though, but globally...idfk

pretty neat idea i guess at some point the code will make everything classic for classic and the themes will be driven by start9 and not use the broken windows theming engine hell this thing might even beat reactos own underdeveloped shell one day , so until that day comes its build 1803 for me i guess.

Don't be ridiculous. They'd never even look at it.

Nono Martin Fuchs is the creator of reactos explorer here is his site www.foxplanet.de/So...a different person then, presumably. In any case, what exactly was his role, and why do you mention him here?

He was in charge of reactos explorer back in the day the reactos team asked him for help and he jumped the bandwagon maybe he could use his ros explorer skills in start9?
