Here's a pack of Windows XP wallpapers in HD I made. www.deviantart.com/windowssenpai/art/Windows-XP-HD-Wallpaper-Pack-776806652It contains many popular wallpapers such as Bliss, Azul, Vortec space, etc. It also comes with a few bonus wallpapers from 2000, Vista and even a Longhorn demo. However, some wallpapers like Autumn and Follow me aren't present due to them being taken down from Getty Images/Corbis years ago. These come from Getty Images and I got people to send me them in high/full res unwatermarked, where I resized and cropped them to 1920x1200. |

I've been looking for HD versions of the WinXP wallpapers long time now.
I know Fujitsu released a lossless 4k version of Bliss, which looks like the version included in this pack (seeing as how you had to change the saturation to match the one included in XP). The only other HD one I had up until this point was Azul, which I found by doing a reverse image search on Google.
Mind if I ask if these were the original sizes? The reason I ask is because the Fujitsu version of Bliss was very non-standard (iirc the aspect ratio was actually the same as the image resolution).

Also yeah, the Bliss one probably was at its original size (4510x3627). However, some of the other wallpapers here are based on 2048px versions of the pictures, since that's what I was sent. (Sorry if I'm not answering correctly, I'm a little confused how to interpret your question tbh)

Yeah, that's what I meant, lol. And yes, the Fujitsu TIFF release of Bliss was indeed 4510x3627.
Any chance you'll ever release the 2048px versions? If not, I'm perfectly content with this. Just thought I'd ask.

I won’t release them in a pack like this, but I can DM you them later if you want. (They’ll also be included in OS Mockup/Graphic Kit 1.2 when that comes out)
Also btw I’m gonna do an update to this pack in about a week, with some more wallpapers.

1.1 is out! It has many new wallpapers, including the two missing XP ones along with a couple of other XP-related ones. It also has many new Vista/Longhorn wallpapers.

This includes Follow me/Follow, along with several XP Starter Edition wallpapers. Along with that it also includes a few new non-XP wallpapers, and there is now a folder for each OS or type of wallpaper (sample picture, user account picture, etc).

Excellent work, once again! These are some great additions.
I'm really happy you managed to hunt down Plus! Space. I've been trying to find that one for a while, and it's great to finally have it at a decent size.

Haven't posted here in ages, but I shall do so now. Not long ago I released 3.1. Ever since 2.0 I have added many new wallpapers, such as more user account pictures, Boiling Point and Snow Trees from 2000, Plus! 98 wallpapers/screensaver images, XP Fun Pack backgrounds and more. Although I don't have Autumn and a few others yet, I'm getting there. The Longhorn/Vista/7/8 stuff has been moved to a new pack as that was starting to outweigh the XP (and earlier) wallpapers. I have also posted the original files of some of these wallpapers to archive.org (does not include unwatermarked previews from Getty as they aren't exactly the originals). |
