And what did you try? This site has a lot of recipes. By the way, consider Windows 8.1 which will receive updates till 2023. On Win10 the taskbar dies not support Classic theme, unlike Windows 8.1.

Like anixx , I would recommend switching to Windows 8.1. It "supports" (doesn't have the option but when enabled with utilities taskbar doesn't bug out) Classic Theme out of the box and will receive security updates for a good 3 years from now. With Windows 8.1, I would suggest the following utilities:
ClassicShell/ Open-Shell (both allow you to create a very classic start menu, would recommend open-shell as its updated)
Don't know how you can completely remove Metro, but I do know that the Open-Shell+SCT combo at least hides it somewhat. About the stupid clock display thing: I think you can actually disable it in the group policy editor but I don't know for sure The forced updates aren't a thing on Windows 8.1 so you're in luck with that
Further I would just look into the taskbar properties menu. It has options for disabling charms, bottom left corner windows button etc.

@saw141 that's why some of us decided to use Win 10 LTSC, which has no modern app bloatware in, along with a nice removing tool like ntLite or WinReducer, that can take care any and all of the rest MS grievances and customize your installation they way you want. leet The new SimpleClassicTheme version works somehow better in LTSC 1809. If an explorer and control panel window opens before SCT is enabled, the window manager is then preserved, and those previously problematic apps run just fine even after SCT is enabled, whereas before they could just hang. Needs more testing but looks promising as it is said that there will be no new LTSC version before 2021.

Just dont switch. There are ESU bypass tools out there for gettingW7 updates for the next 3 years. Once that runs out, just practice safe computing. Windows 10 will never be usable and Microsoft will continue to break any attempts to make it so via updates
