hello, yes i am back. I just wanna know how could i get the classic taskbar without using classic shell, which leads to startisback. but i dont want the free trial. Is there anyway to get startisback without using the free trial or paying? That's called piracy and it would save a lot of hassle if you just purchased the software.

hello, yes i am back. I just wanna know how could i get the classic taskbar without using classic shell, which leads to startisback. but i dont want the free trial. Is there anyway to get startisback without using the free trial or paying? A one-PC license for SiB costs what, $4? I mean, that's not all expensive for what it does. And it's a one-time fee, anyway, as opposed to the whole SaaS bullfeces. And as others suggested, what you're basically asking is "How do I pirate this piece of software?". A question, to which the answer would be simple: save yourself the time of looking for a method to circumvent activation, and buy it. Your time's worth money too, after all. If you don't feel like spending that money, then go for Classic Shell (or OpenShell, if you want a continued version). And before you ask: no, I have not read over the part where you say " without classic shell".

Startisback is a continuation of win7 explorer for win8 it is some kinda wrapper that runs legacy code in time we might see it do context menus or win7 networking , latest update is win7 clock is back with registry tweak .

It seems like they only bothered with the taskbar and win7 start-menu so far , the original program has not an option for classic theme , the classic theme is a community effort + spitfire mods the only thing that cant be changed is its system color and you can choose a blank startmenu to replace the crappy win7 style with the original startmenu featured in startisback/openshell . However recent versions suggest .reg tweaks from old win10 versions can be added he probably mimics the systemcalls , i asked the developer to add the contextmenu tweak to the next version so lets hope he is kind enough to bring it to us. Now to reverse engineer this program and make an opensource version of startisback would require tons of guesswork decompiling and hexediting and what not since this forum policies forbids us not give out links to cracked warez version we gotta respect the rules right? It is a sound idea however to support the dev and get the real version on a lifetime registration its only a few bucks startisback.com/#buy-tab A legal way to grab it for free is to promote it /review it then you can get it for free by contacting the developer politely. However since the program is shareware the worst thing an unregged version will do is nagging you with popups reminding you to register.
