netvideo hunter for downloading videos fix?

Im actually asking around because netvideohunter still works on some sites while splitting the videos to tiny pieces on say pornhub since they went with the xvideos format less than 1 year ago  , ffx extensions are opensource which is why im asking around if somebody did take a look of the code and adjusted it to match with modern download extensions .
The nature of opensource is you just dont abandon it just cause its slightly outdated but still somehow compatible at places
