Is there any way to restore the Classic File Operation dialog? The new one looks ugly, and I honestly don't care about the graph because Windows 7's can monitor MB/s as well, and I would much rather have multiple windows of the file operation dialog. Plus, it's animated. The only ways I know of to access it is to extract files from an archive using TC4Shell, set attributes, and by using the classic theme, can 100% replace the new file copy dialog with the old one. It comes with a caveat though: no animations. Plus I want to make my Windows look like a combination of Vista and 7 anyways, which means visual styles are enabled. There are differences between the two, the Windows 7 one is in the same process as the explorer window you performed the operation in, and the Windows 8+ one shows as a separate process with command line C:\Windows\EXPLORER.EXE. I have also heard that the Windows 8+ file operation dialog resides in shell32.dll or something, and unless we have the source code (which won't be happening), we can't remove it so that the Windows 7 one is used as a fallback. It's also not visible in Resource Hacker, either. Just like with the 1903 and before search box, the only way that might be possible to restore the old shell is Classic Explorer. I wish Classic Explorer had an option for a Classic, configurable toolbar-based address bar, a way to restore the 1903 and before search box, and the Windows 7 or even XP's if it even still exists file operation dialog. Sadly, it doesn't.
Since I have posted in the same board section with 2 threads posted in a short time, if mods think this is spamming of some sort, feel free to PM me and I will merge the 2 threads via editing.
