I was just wonder if it's possible to restore "Line Up Icons" back onto Windows 8.1, is it possible? Screenie from 2000:

So what does "Line up icons" do? Put all icons into a single column? I think you may be able to export it from the registry from Windows 2000 and import it into Windows 8.1, they both are NT anyways and share a common registry format.

Line Up Icons makes the icons aligned to a grid before there was a option to automatically do that

Line Up Icons makes the icons aligned to a grid before there was a option to automatically do that So you can still export it from Windows 2000's registry, I think the registry keys for Desktop Context Menu are in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell

There's no DesktopBackground Key on 2000.
