Hey, guys!! I'm new here and just recentely, i've began to use the classic theme for Windows 10. Didn't really like the taskbar so i used StartisbackPlusPlus to use the Windows 7 taskbar. I think it made a pretty good combination, if i'm being honest! I've just had a little issue when applying the theme to the explorer: It left a big grey empty space at the top. However, at the videos i saw about the topic, there was no such space! For example, this one made by Enderman:
It's really annoying and takes me out of the experience. Anyone willing to help a poor soul out?

Couldn't upload a screenshot. Then did you use OldNewExplorer to remove the ribbon? Or is it the command bar you're seeking to remove (the one with "Organize" on the left)?

Well, i didn't use OldNewExplorer, and the bar i'm talking about is the one with "file", "home", "share" and "view". Sorry, I'm not that good with english.

Just run OldNewExplorerCfg and check "Use command bar instead of ribbon" and you no longer have the ribbon.

Installed it and the top of the case with "close", "minimize" and "maximize" became transparent! This also happens with other programs i use. Any idea on how to fix?

For explorer, uncheck "Enable glass on navigation bar" in OldNewExplorerCfg.
For programs NOT IN SYSTEM32 OR THE WINDOWS FOLDER, you can use DWMDLLs, just paste them into the folder that they are in and if it's 32 bit, remove the existing dwmapi.dll and rename dwmapi32.dll to dwmapi.dll.

Thanks so much, mate! It worked! I can't express how much this was useful! Thank you!

Not really an installer, it's a program that you have to run to get it working (for things such as troubleshooting wizards). Keep in mind that those types of programs will have a black area instead, which has no fix. It does not persist through reboots, you have to manually add it to your startup options.

But, what do you mean by black area?

But, what do you mean by black area? In the troubleshooting wizard (for example), there will be a huge black space between the window content and the titlebar. The back button will still be in the space where it's supposed to be.
