The title says it. Vote which version of classic theme you like the best.

I like other, but of these variants, Win2000 is the best.

not sure what you mean by later versions of the classic theme? It didn't change as the standard classic theme since Windows 2000

I'm guessing he meant the fonts/colors? That's the only difference I'm aware of between these versions (not counting things like Win95 lacking support for titlebar gradients).
For me personally, the first version of Windows that I used was Win95, and I always kind of saw 98's color scheme as an updated/improved version of it. And while I do have a lot of nostalgia for the 9x era, I think I do prefer the softer colors of Windows 2000.

Yeah, I'm going to side with Anixx and R.O.B. with Windows 2000 being the best. Though I prefer MS Sans Serif and the Battleship Grey from 9x.

Voted. Windows 2000 is the best. Just perfect colors! BTW: What theme for W10 [1809, 17763.1757 - no yet build-in 'light theme'] could you advice to mimic W2000 color scheme? Taskbar color too. Is that possible at all? I meant colors only, not rest of classic visual style (which of course is the best, but have problems to running it smooth, will try more). Take care

There's one thing Win95 did better than Win98 and 2000. All the icons in W95 have a consistent art style, especially the shadows. All the shadows of W95 icons are black. When they started making those complex pixel icons with light and shadow effects for W98, they also started making different shadow colors, like the My Computer and My Documents icons for example. the thing is they kept many icons from W95 because they decided not to update them all. The result is an inconsistent art style for the icons. It's not something that gets me significantly, but sometimes I'd like to try with a version where all the icons are the ones from W95. I know they are included in the files of the icons for W98. I have no idea how to make Windows choose to display the W95 ones instead.
