Classic style explorer in Windows XP was also very good...
So I decided to bring it back to Windows 10.
Step 1: Installing Open-Shell, AutoHotKey and Quero Toolbar
AutoHotKey (for scripts, I describe it later):
Download Quero Toolbar (for alternative address bar):
Download Step 2: Removing navigation bar and applying ClientEgde and Toolbar border
To make explorer more classic, you should use these AHK scripts.
Thanks to them for their nice stuffs!
Step 3: Setting the toolbar
First, place "WinXP" folder to %SystemDrive%\Classic\Icons\Toolbar. If you placed it to other place, you'll need to set the icons again.
Second, open Open-Shell's "Classic Explorer Settings" and click "Backup". Then click "Load from XML file..." to choose a XML file. XML files are in "Open-Shell XML" folder.
English version (XP_EN.xml)
Japanese version (XP_JP.xml)
NOTE: I haven't assigned the function to "Search" button because Windows 10 doesn't have a Search Companion.
Step 4: Choose a theme for Quero Toolbar
Click Quero logo button and "Options". Then go to "Appearance" and click "Browse..." to choose a DLL file. DLL files are in "Quero Theme" folder.
English version
with access key (Quero_XP_EN.dll)
without access key (Quero_XP_EN_NoAK.dll)
Japanese version
with access key (Quero_XP_JP.dll)
without access key (Quero_XP_JP_NoAK.dll)
