IntroductionAs you may know, old versions of Windows have HyperTerminal. Windows Vista+ stopped having HyperTerminal. This thread shows how to install HyperTerminal on Windows Vista+ (i am not sure if it works on Vista+, but it should work on 10 if it does not work on Vista, 7, 8, 8.1.) Installing HyperTerminalStart up an Windows XP SP2 or X64 SP2 machine (or VM, VM in my case.). Go to C:\Program Files\Windows NT. Copy htrn_jis.dll and hypertrm.exe to another folder (for eg. C:\HyperTerminal\) Next go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\. Copy hticons.dll and hypertrm.dll to the folder you just recently created. Transfer the folder to the machine your installing HyperTerminal on. Open hypertrm.exe. Enjoy!
