Hi,
I wanna know if there is any way to get Win XP stuff on Win 7, 8, 8,1, and 10 like the search dog, from search companion, the User Account pictures, Old Sticky Keys dialog, the sounds, the icons (that includes the error icons), the boot screen, the pretty, blue logon screen, the blue explorer panel, IE6, the cla$$ic boot loader, old M$ paint, classic Wordpad, and of course the Luna, Silver, and Olive themes and wallpapers. And the screensaver with the XP logo that moves around, and the 3D pinball and other games. Plus Office 2003, The XP Tour, and XP Volume Slider
PS: I wanna make Win 7 look like Win XP.

This forum is more dedicated to the Classic Theme specifically, but I'm pretty sure there's some pretty good skins out there for Windows 7. This one looks pretty good. Just watch out for malware. Skinpacks are often bloated and contain extra stuff you don't see. |

There's this one: Almost perfect xp boot screen
(Note that you need Windows 7 Boot Updater to apply it)
As for the sounds: you can just google windows xp sounds download and you will find a lot of links to get the xp sounds. For the User Account Pictures: here
Screensavers: here
As for the search dog, I think it's not possible to get it back on modern windows. I could be wrong though or have missed something. (I will edit this post more later with more information) |

But IE6 doesn't install on modern windows, unless there's a way to do so. |

What's more weird about that program is: It always keeps showing IE 5 UI, no matter what version you have, except for IE 1, it shows it's own UI though. (except for IE 7 and 8, and that you have XP running, not sure about Vista yet, each IE version will show it's UI) If you don't understand what do I mean that IE 5 UI displays no matter what IE version is launched, here's an example with IE 6 running:  So, in short, I wouldn't recommend IE Collection for modern windows. |
