This piece of crap has been online for years and nobody never could make a fully functional classic theme for Windows 10 that isn't full of bugs and rendering errors. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Every single topic I read is the same thing: a crap .exe or .zip file to download that breaks the user's computer along with a poorly written shit tutorial. EVERY SINGLE TOPIC. Nothing changes. Seriously... what's the point here? Users from DeviantArt achieved far more success than all of you together.  Please, someone tell me: what's the point here? |

Please, someone tell me: what's the point here? what's the point for you to come in a thread about getting Classic theme to work on Windows 11 and shit about the Classic Theme? The users in this forum are working together to get to a closer Classic Theme since Microsoft decided to trash it away and enabling it only in certain situations I'm really sorry if you didn't manage to get a good classic theme look, but you can't just go and shit on peoples work just for that, because people put hard work into these kind of things and they don't even get paid (at least, I don't think they are), all I'm trying to say is : please don't be toxic and respect people for what their doing |

The point is nobody is making any "classic theme" here. What we do, we disable the built-in theming engine of Windows.
I personally use Windows 8.1 (not Windows 10) and the "classic theme" works perfectly for me.

No shit there are "bugs" and "rendering errors", Classic Theme (aka no theming) was unsupported ever since Windows 8, so there is of course bound to be bugs and such. The Deviantart "Classic Theme" is literally just a theme with the wrong button sizes and uncustomizible colours, so of course it works fine and has no "rendering errors". The rendering errors and bugs are not the forum's fault; it's M$'s fault.
The reason why it "breaks the user's computer" is because it's hard to disable theming and get everything right so that there is a truly "classic" look. If you want something that doesn't break the computer get ClassicThemeTray and run it with the /enable option. It can be easily disabled as well.
And also, what's the point of you shitting on this forum?

Code your own ""crap"" to enable classic theme (the real thing), no downloading at all, good luck. 2. MS decided to move the classic theme to the recycle bin, we cannot do anything AT ALL about it. Go complain to MS. 3. Why do you expect a deprecated theme to work properly? MS said they removed it (not really, actually hidden), so why would MS even care about it working properly? 4. Do not tell me the things DeviantArt have are just some high contrast themes or some visual styles, this is a forum for the ACTUAL classic theme. 5. Stop complaining about members NOT being able to hold with MS releasing updates that can break classic theme, we aren't robots who can make it in 1 nanosecond. 6. Read line 1 to 5 again. |

This forum is about preserving the original, in-build classic theme still included in Windows. 2. Classic theme is the original theme used in Windows since Windows 95. It's not been updated since Windows 8 was released. That means it's 25 years old and has been neglected by Microsoft for over 8 years. 3. Many users have successfuly enabled classic theme. Check in the Screenshots section of these forums. It's never been more easier to get classic theme up and running now (we even managed it on Windows 11). 4. We have two user friendly programs that enable classic theme for you. They couldn't be more simpler. Besides, if you're that worried about breaking your system, I suggest not running things you don't understand on it - that's what virtual machines are for. 5. Deviantart.  If you're happy with what people on that site offer, then cool, more power to you. But I'll take the real thing or a WindowsBlind skin anyday. |

Every single post I read on DeviantArt is the same thing: a crap msstyles theme to download that doesn't even look that good with people not understanding how to get the REAL aesthetic.
Like look at this, this is a cheap high contrast recoloring.
Even if you don't use high contrast themes, most themes created by the DA community don't recreate the actual classic theme look and even more so are limited by Windows 10's (already limited) theming engine.
If you want to pull another katieboundary here, then I'd advise you to go away from this forum (especially when you don't value the effort being done here), because we try to be authentic and not pretend we know classic themes (by hacking the system with our own programs and AHK scripts).
If you're so salty about us not providing "perfect" solutions for a classic theme (how even so if we aren't Windows developers knowing how to patch the system), then just leave.
