Classic/Open Shell questions

So, I just got my new PC and I want to install Open/Classic shell but, I had a few questions about it.
Does it cause issues whenever you install updates like UX Theme patcher does? (Or at least from what I've read)?
Where is a good, reliable place to get themes/skins for it?
Are there any good tutorials on how to make custom start buttons and such for it?
