How to import icons from moricons.dll? i want to replace Open Office icons to old M$ Office (3.0 or 97) ones Extract icons from the DLL, under .ico files, or extract them into .res resource files. All this can be done with a resource editor, like Resource Hacker. There are also programs specific to icons.

Hello, does anyone know a Windows 7 theme that works on Windows 10 21h2 possibly with working aero glass?
I have managed to only find Windows 7 themes for older Windows 10 versions and i don't really want to downgrade my Windows 10 version again.

I recently thought of the Y2K style of Windows 2000 or the "Classic" look and I really wanna make my desktop look like it. However, I want to do it in the safest way possible without breaking anything. I know there's stuff like the "SimpleClassicTheme" tool as well as Windowblinds but I'm curious if there's any alternative way to achieve the same look without just changing Windows 11 to the light-theme, installing explorer patcher for the square borders and start menu/taskbar, Winaero Tweaking, and changing the wallpaper. I don't really wanna change the icons, by the way, as I do like them somewhat. I could do RetroBar too, but that'll just be off since both Explorer and the Taskbar would be in two different styles, and I'd likely be annoyed by the small gap if I also go for OpenShell.
Also I'm not sure if the UxThemePatcher stuff is compatible with the OS since it's still being worked on, base systems constantly being overhauled from my assumption, etc. Anyone got any ideas?

Use Classicthemetray. You can enable or disable classic theme just by clicking on it's tray icon and it's compeletly portable: github.com/spitfirex86/ClassicThemeTray/releases/

Nothing really changed from Classic Shell. And no, it's not any adware or sorts. true

Hello, is there any way to possibly put the Aero Lite buttons into the standard windows 10 theme? I really love the way Aero Lite looks but the broken dark theme makes it impossible for me to use on my Windows install.

SimpleClassicTheme doesn't work on titlebars. my firefox one looks completely trashy. pls help Firefox draws its own titlebars that just look like the native Windows 10 ones. The only good solution around this is to go into "customise" (right click on the toolbar) and enable the native titlebar ("titlebar" at the bottom left), but this will make the window frame more distinctive. In practicality, the pseudo-native titlebar (which uses DrawFrameControl and/or DrawThemeBackground APIs to replicate the native appearance) which you may have seen in like Firefox 52 on Windows XP is all but gone for modern Firefox on Windows 10.
Your other option, if you don't want the titlebar to appear on its own row, would be to replicate the classic theme look with something like userChrome.css. The modern Firefox caption buttons are XUL elements that you can easily theme with CSS.
But there isn't really anything that can be done about this by developers of classic theme enablers like SimpleClassicTheme.

IIRC if Firefox thinks that compositing is disabled, it will actually render the classic theme gradients and border. The buttons themselves remain as the Windows 10 versions, however. If you were to enable the native titlebar, Firefox would swap that out with the 3D Object color instead.
This doesn't apply to the Thunderbird Supernova UI.
