How does one fix the large black sections in inactive areas of the taskbar in classic theme? I have classic taskbar fix and the lite version of the EP mitigations, which seem to be working but don't fix this issue. I don't have EP itself or 7 taskbar tweaker installed, I don't know if these are necessary. Only Openshell and Windhawk. I did try the DLL replacement thing with OS but it did nothing. I've been using Retrobar until now but it flickers constantly when desktop icons are refreshed.

As a follow-up to the last post, I installed 7+ TT and it does not fix this with any of the main options it has. There is also an issue where sometimes when hovering over an inactive taskbar item, its name becomes bolded like a depressed item is. Here's a picture of where it's at currently:
Edit: it also does not match system color, is too bright

There appears to be a problem with your Open-Shell installation. Have you checked the "Customize Taskbar" box in the Open-Shell settings ?

Hey guys! Completely new to customizing my win11. I definitely need some help getting the explorer shell to look similar to older versions of explorer. I have only had minimal luck using what's available, such as open-shell, but there has to be other resources available to make it look a little bit closer to classic Windows, or at least, NOT make it look like Win11 ui. Any help is much appreciated, and I apologize if I posted in the wrong thread.

There appears to be a problem with your Open-Shell installation. Have you checked the "Customize Taskbar" box in the Open-Shell settings ? It seems like the issue is my install of Windows, because I can't fix this at all. I've messed with that setting plenty, imported the required Openshell registry files and replaced the DLL, and ultimately uninstalled Openshell altogether, using your pre-patched installer to re-install. No changes. Disabled all unrelated Windhawk mods. With or without 7+ TT, and with multiple variants on the same Windhawk mods and mitigations the issue will not go away. I've never had a problem this difficult to fix before.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to create a windhawk mod Learn C++. Not trying to be rude or anything, but Windhawk mods are written in the C++ programming language. I won't provide any resources here but the internet is a huge place and you're bound to find plenty of books and tutorials and whatnot on how to learn.

May i know if the program 7tsp for icon packages is compatible with Windows 7? Yes, it is. It was even originally made for it so you need compatibility mode in newer versions. Whether the icon packs themselves are compatible though is another matter.

No, there's no need for that. People can just install the apps they want themselves. And is 1809 really the greatest choice especially for UWP dev?

Is there a way to make modern Firefox look like Firefox 3.6?

3.7 and more yes, 3.6 or 2.0 you have to ask in the Firefox Echelon topic.
