Hello everyone, I'm Nik and I'm here to present to you Classic Logon Shell 2! A successor to the original by leet . What this program does is, mostly, very simple: it replaces the windows start screen with a Win2k-style login. Oh, and it also is extremely customizable and has many features: - Support for 'Press -combination- to begin' dialog behavior with 3 different key combinations available - Can remember last logged-in user - Can show the list of user accounts on the PC - Loading animation when logging in - Can use a logo on the background - Custom themes for the dialog - Custom localisation The complete list of supported customizations is in the Manual file included with the compiled version. WARNINGS: This program overlays the login screen, any problems caused by this may require to restart in Safe Mode! If you are absolutely sure that you want to install this program, then continue reading. Current Version: Version 2 - Release 1.2 Download: Project PageNew in this release: - Implemented a notice if caps lock is on - Added Active Directory domain login support - New high-quality rescaling for theme icons that don't fit the image frame - Added new banner option on shutdown - UI fixes for better localisation support Installation: 1. Download & run the installer (with admin rights) 2. Done! In the next reboot you should see the login with its default config and theme If you notice any bugs, like a missing localisation key or something else, please report them. Thank you! Credits: - leet for the log-in code and original style (Thanks again!) - Microsoft for certain icons and logos used in the default theme - herit://that1cutie for beta testing and certain icons Full credits in are in the documentation.

This is definitely not a false-positive: RDPWrapper breaks an essential part of Windows' security system and therefore gets flagged by Windows Defender. Be extra careful of running unknown software when you have RDPWrapper installed!

Be extra careful of running unknown software when you have RDPWrapper installed!Whoops, what I meant to say was that while it is detected as a Trojan, this is due to the how it works by effectively breaking Windows security and not because it is in itself actually malicious, atleast as far as I know. I'm sorry to hear that. If you want, can you try following the new 'Troubleshooting' steps that I outlined in the post and then post the results? There may be a dependency I missed, I'll try to install it on a fresh copy windows to see what happens. Thank you. [Edit] I tried installing it on a fresh Windows install and there was actually a problem, I've added a step to fix it in the installation process, hopefully that's something I can add into the installer directly. Anyways, this is the fix for people who have already installed the program: 1. Open a new PowerShell windows with admin rights 2. Paste and run this command: get-childitem "C:\Program Files\Ellanet\Logon Screen Launcher" | unblock-file 3. Paste and run this other command: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe "C:\Program Files\Ellanet\Logon Screen Launcher\LogonScreenLauncher.exe" 4. It should work now! I'm sorry for this oversight on my part, I'll try new versions on fresh installs as often as I can.

The program is pretty and works nicely, but I cannot seem to figure out how to disable or uninstall it. I want to temporarily disable the program so I can modify the background image. Do I have to boot into safe mode just to do this?
EDIT; The program only allows me to log in once per boot up, which creates a tiny window simply saying, "516." If the PC locks afterwards and I try to log in, it gets to the window saying, "Applying user preference," and the system hangs. It also seems to kill explorer.exe soon after logging in.

The problem is much more urgent now as I cannot even log into my laptop. I like how pretty the program is and I'd love to see it further in development, but I need to know how to uninstall it.

The problem is much more urgent now as I cannot even log into my laptop. I like how pretty the program is and I'd love to see it further in development, but I need to know how to uninstall it. Oh whoops, sometimes this is what happens with hacky software, please follow the steps below: 1. IF you want to keep it but can't log into the laptop due to rdpwrapper not working or some other problem AND you've kept the default configuration on, you can simply click the 'close' button to exit the application and you should see the normal Windows login screen. 2. If you want to then disable automatic startup, you can open 'services.msc', search for the entry 'Logon Screen Launcher' and stop then set Startup type to either manual or disabled. 3.If you just want to uninstall it: - Boot in Safe Mode OR if you've followed the first option and you're logged into windows, open task manager and terminate the 'Logon Screen Launcher' service manually - Delete the installation folder and all the files in it (C:\Program Files\Ellanet\Logon Screen Launcher\) - (Optional but you should do this if you want every trace gone also) follow option 2's steps and delete the entry Please remember that this software should NOT be run on any machine that you care about due to it being a MASSIVE SECURITY HOLE, tested only on Windows 10 x64 and just generally pretty wacky in how it actually functions when it does work.

I understand. It's pretty though and I do hope to use it in the future once its functionality is a little more polished. EDIT: Looks like this now. Is there a way I can realign the background image so it's properly centred and not showing these blue background bars?

Is there a way I can realign the background image so it's properly centred and not showing these blue background bars? Unfortunately, in the current version it's not possible to finely adjust the background logo/color, it's a feature that will be coming in the next version along with multi-monitor support. I am busy with work right now so the next relese will probably be in a couple weeks, next month I should finally be on vacation and I hopefully will be able to dedicate more time to this project. [EDIT] Scratch the two-week timeframe, I just finished testing the next version and it seems ready for release. It will be coming out in two or three days.

Here's what I've got so far. Looks much better, but still getting stuck on this. I'm not sure how to configure RDPWrapper if that's even the origin of the issue. If you could join ClassicServ on Discord I would greatly appreciate it. Here's a link; discord.gg/WmvsjZDWFyClassicServ is where a lot of actively developing WinClassic softwares are being developed. Plus this way we can instantly test and respond to things. (I also use it as my image host)

It's not possible to create an account on this crap-page (some might call it webpage) herit://that1cutie I confirm. I tried to create a Discord account from the invitation, and I received a message informing me that "something unexpected happened, and that I should receive a confirmation code by SMS. I entered my phone number, but I did not receive an SMS. I closed the page, and a few seconds later I received the SMS with the verification code. So I returned to the page of the invitation, but now I get an "invalid invitation" message .

They don't accept any temporary e-mails (you need an e-mail address to verify the account), so as far as I'm concerned, they can shove it up their butt.
I don't need more spam mail from discord.

Also, the "Applying your personal settings" dialog doesn't appear to hide the other controls I updated to RC3, the "Applying your personal settings" does appear but for a split second before it goes to the desktop.
