Your script worked fine on my LSTC 2021 iot ! it is very practical, thank you for that! What would be great is two more versions of the DLL : one with classic proportions so that my modified classic aero theme would be almost perfect (the buttons is now the main problem) ! and of course an XP version, but I don't know if that's possible !? Maybe I could try to do it myself if someone would tell me how to do it ! (but it seems to be out of my league!!) Thanks you ! Indeed, LTSC 2021 is based on the latest version of Windows 10, so uDWM.dll is similar. Concerning the proportions of the buttons, I'm pretty sure that Dulappy has already modified uDWM.dll to obtain square buttons close to the classic or basic/XP theme. However, I can't find a corresponding file, neither here nor on ClassicServ. In any case, it is theoretically possible. Afterwards, you may be able to use the real classic theme as a replacement solution, or the basic theme.

I got this to work on 1507/1607 LTSB but they both die when they reach the lockscreen after a reboot (dwm crash/restart loop). Does test mode/test signing need to be enabled for this to work properly?

The one I provide on Github is only tested on 20H2 and 21H2/LTSC 2021. I strongly advise against mixing uDWM versions, it may completely crash your installation. Besides, I am not the author of these modifications, I just wrote a script to facilitate the change between different modifications of uDWM.dll.

It all works fine until next reboot, I wonder what causes the dwm crash, since it did work before rebooting...

Maybe Dulappy or aubymori will be able to answer you.

{Spoiler}www~~~~ Dulappy , you are amazing , this code looking so difficult to understand. It's a bit easier with the pseudocode feature in IDA. Although sometimes I just wish Windows was open source, it would really save me some time and effort. I could just modify the source code a bit, compile it, and not have to worry about hooking, reverse engineering, injecting, or anything of the sort. Just understanding the code, modifying it, and compiling it. If only...

May you make a version of this for 1809? Since it's supported until 2029 and supports Aero Glass by Big Muscle It supported only by micro$oft and some programms require newer versions (thats why i`ve upgraded to windows 11)

DWM appears to have been updated as of latest update for 22H2, just as a heads up. Current patched file may not work.

How about Windows 10 1809 (Enterprise LTSC 2019)? Generally speaking, LTSC 2019/1809 works the same on the outside, but differently under the hood ; which makes a modification of DWM carried out under the latest versions of Windows 10/LTSC 2021 incompatible with 1809.

It doesn't work for me. I'm on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (21H2 with security updates up until 2032), and it renders the system unusable. If I didn't have a backup for uDWM.dll, my Windows install would be unusable by now!

Wait- or did you mean booting it into safe mode while the patch is applied if it worked? Let me check!

Wait- or did you mean booting it into safe mode while the patch is applied if it worked? Let me check! I just suggested this because starting the system in safe mode already helped me fix a mess with DWM. As for the patch, it's strange that it doesn't work anymore... I'll investigate this.
