hi, just thought i'd introduce myself working on a little project, removing as much modern core stuff from windows 10, the goal is to be left with the core shell, settings app & shell exp host. can remove 90+ of the runtime dlls and stuff still works, however i have gone further and am removing stuff from the registry (in a virtual machine) 10,000+ entries removed, still got a working windows, only downside i've run into so far is uwp apps not longer work, settings app and defender security center work though as does the shell exp host. not a fan of apps and all the extra bloat ms keeps adding to windows, the whole onecore thing sucks, windows is becoming less like a desktop os and more a mix of tablet, phone and xbox...

Hi rancorx, welcome to WinClassic! Thanks for introducing yourself.
Please keep us posted on your project. I'm sure there are others who are interested.

sure, i have a thread over here msfn.org/board/topic/177255-windows-10-ttk-tweak-toolkit/it's not uploaded yet, but all my other tweaks i've collected together over the last few years are on my onedrive. (quite pleased with my batch files for disabling windows services, hidden services and driver services, plus pshell / reg files to disable most logging and tracing).

Sounds sort of like Windows 10 LTSB except without needing an enterprise license for it. I for one am interested for sure (though I don't use 10 as my main, sticking to 7 for the foreseeable future)

I've been on here for a little bit, but never did a proper intro too, so here goes eh? Hi folks, I'm Konsti. Obvious furry, hobbyist webdev and designer, general UI nerd. Been messing around with UI modding ever since XP SP2 with stuff like Gant2Ocean and Flyakite! Really happy to see the scene isn't dead, and aiming to get back into this harder than ever before >:3 Already learned a bunch from the skilled folks on here, modding more than I thought was even possible. Kudos to yall! On the side, a friend and I also work on WebXP, which might be of interest to some folks on here!

Haven't heard Flyakite mentioned in a long time.

Been a minute since I have joined a forum, But Hi everyone! My name is Sophie, I play games n stuff.. not much all to interesting abt me tbh.
I had really wanted to skin windows 10 to look like XP after seeing plenty of examples of it years back especially since Windows XP was my first OS but was kinda freaked out a bit, especially after a rough incident with windows 7 years back lo, Found out recently it wasn't too hard nowadays and got a relatively decent looking (IMO) setup- so yeah! this community seems nice too so I am hoping to stick around. c:

Hi everyone I'm new to the forums. Been a couple days (like 2) and I really like this site. Has the most unique vibe I have ever seen. And it has helped me tremendously to customize my Win10 to look like what I want it to look like. I like Blood (1997), Peggle, Rogue-Likes and Beta Minecraft.
Hope to see you guys as much as often.

Well, first of all, thanks to this forum, i learned a lot about windows personalization in this place, i used to be someone who just used winaero tweaker and openshell, but, well, i met a user called Brawllux, who has been bothering me with the fact that my windows personalization isn't that good, i know it, i know that i am not perfect, i am just a human after all, i am sorry if i said something that bothered people, it wasn't intentional. i will miss posting my windows stuff here, i did my best but it wasn't enough for Brawllux, he made me cry, not ironically. maybe i will be here sometimes, just, to see if AWM already got released. goodbye and thank you for reading my post, last image of something. we are humans, we learn, and we change, maybe, this is something that was necessary to happen.

Bullying is NOT tolerated here. If you have a legit concern with a poster doing that to you, then please get in touch with myself or another member of staff via PM or directly report the post if it breaks the rules. It will be dealt with asap.
I'm looking over Brawllux's posts, and tbf, I don't think they are trying to come off as you think they are. If anything, they tried to help you with your setup with some constructive criticism. If you don't want their input, I'd suggest using the forum's block feature so they or someone else's posts you don't want to see are hidden from you. Or you could try and talk with them in private messages and try and resolve any issues you have yourself if you want.

Hi, I'm relatively new to skinning Windows, but I love the community and I hope to learn a lot here. I excitedly cycle through Classic, XP, and 7 themes on a biweekly basis. I simply cannot stand flat design and I feel very nostalgic for my old XP PC especially. I'm in the process of learning C# so I can make my own programs in the future. My real passion is for web and GUI design, but I love the backend part of it, like building the framework and then dressing it up to look pretty. Anywho, I look forward to interacting with everyone!
