Microsoft broke something (again), you can either downgrade to 23H2, or wait for an ExplorerPatcher update to fix it.

mauro Verify that you are using the latest version of ExplorerPatcher. yes 22621.3296.64.3 for install on 26100 im rename ep_setup.exe to example for 2.exe and install
If you leave the original name, it won't install. MS will block it.
for uninstaing im rename to ep_uninstall.exe and run
probably in future versions of explorer patcher the author will have to change names ep_setup.exe will no longer work in 24h2 onwards
and even in the system you will have to remove ep_setup.exe otherwise it won't even uninstall, MS will block it even to uninstall
Maybe the author will have to modify all names that start with ep, in future versions to make it work properly in 24h2

Obviously, the system tray problem is known. I'm trying to browse EP's Discord server, I can't figure out if there is a solution to this problem. One thing seems certain, the system tray is being reimplemented.

Possibly, all these changes indicate that it is better to stay at Win10 rather than upgrade to Win11. While Win11 21h2 is absolutely OK, the later changes complicate the life. At the same time, Win10 likely will not change the user interface radically.

Microsoft is actively breaking the Windows 10 Taskbar in 11. The EP devs are working on a reimplementation though.

22621.3527.65.1 Pre-release
Tested on OS builds 22621.3296, 22621.3447, and 22621.3527. (Note: 22621 and 22631 share the same OS files) 1
Taskbar10: The Windows 10 taskbar option is now no longer available on 26002+. (#3053, e57a6b0) This is to comply with Microsoft's removal of the stock Windows 10 taskbar in explorer.exe of said builds. Start10: Fixed Pin to Start on 226xx.3420+ (22H2, 23H2) and 25169+ (24H2). (232fe6b) Start10: Reverted the menu closing delay fix when EP is injected only into StartMenuExperienceHost.exe for now. (e59c34c)
Please consult the README for more details.
My God, we will no longer have the option to use taskmanager, like in W10 with small icons, now only in W11, everything is huge, as if everyone can have a 1440p or larger monitor so it looks good, here my monitor is 900p, so those huge W11 icons are a pain. crap, so it was essential to use small icons, what to do now?

The EP team (because now there seems to be several developers on it), is in the process of reimplementing the taskbar. But I suppose the work required is significant, so it won't happen for a while. The key issues at the moment are clearly: - Reimplement the taskbar - Find a way to make DWM look the same as Windows 10

This is intended for touchscreens. The Metro interface was initially developed for telephones.

But re-implementing the whole taskbar will be just another alternative shell of no importance.
It would be better to hook XAML systemwide and make it look Win32.

However, it seems to me that this is the intention of the Explorerpatcher team. Personally, I am not in favor of hanging XAML elements in the long term, because these elements also have lower performance. The main issue seems to me to be in the functionalities of a possible re-implementation of the taskbar. So far, none have managed to correctly reproduce certain features, notably additional features (like those of 7+ TaskbarTweaker).

Will this eventually also affect the Windows 10 Start Menu revived with Explorer Patcher? I use it for Live Tiles for News and Weather.

I suppose I'll try to build something with Rainmeter for the Live Tiles I'll be missing. The Widget Panel is good in theory after the latest updates but the widgets themselves are bad.

Why, if the code has been removed, does the taskbar still work with StartAllBack ?

Why, if the code has been removed, does the taskbar still work with StartAllBack ? Startallback has reimplemented taskbar,it is not the Windows 10 taskbar you know. Just like the start menu it is reverse engineered.

And from the screenshot, this taskbar seems to support Win32 controls well, without Metroified elements (and therefore logically the classic theme). It won't be very difficult for ExplorerPatcher to reimplement it too.
