Like i said before. There are lots of people who does not check the codes of the programs/mods they install. If Alcatel ever tries to do something like this again it will be too late to warn them. There was an opportunity to lead people to known trusted alternatives but it looks like you are trying your best to prevent this. I am trying to minimize the risk for everyone here. Above all, you have succeeded in maintaining confusion between true and false antivirus detection, and in aggravating paranoia about files which do not present any risk (now, people are afraid of files which are not even executables !!). Asking people not to use a tool that poses no risk makes no sense; you could have qualified your statement in many different ways (for example, by advising to be wary of updates coming from Alcatel). This was passed over in silence, but the Windhawk developer agreed with me regarding the mods submitted by Alcatel. The problem is not to say that we should be wary of Alcatel, that is obvious, the problem is that for a long time, I have been trying to explain educationally why certain types of files cannot present any risk, and why some antivirus detection is worthless. Your message, by causing technical confusion, undermines my explanatory work. Besides, if we think about it, if Alcatel wanted to spread malware again, it would not do so if the Alcatel name; moreover, the fake DWMBlurGlass was not in the name of Alcatel.

If I have the windows 7 fonts from Alcatel’s themekit, do I have to replace these fonts? They're completely safe, it isn't like you can slip malicious code into a TTF.

I'm not trying to flame or post anything negative or annoying, but it'd be nice if someone just moved basicthemer to Windhawk already. Since I run ESET v8 still I need to run BasicThemer as system to give it more control over some Windows that or basically ROOT whitelist it in ESET to do the same thing which this proved to be a disaster waiting to happen. I tweaked Cynosphere's classic-theme-windows.wh.cpp to mess with making Windows basic themed not touching the theme as proof of concept and it worked to an extent. Main Windows did become basic themed, however some popup Windows did not.
Side note, it'd be great if ChatGPT would some day learn Windhawk as well.

You can use this alternative. github.com/catneptune/basicthemer6

I think there is a Windhawk mod that applies the basic theme, I have to find it again. On the other hand, I advise you to change your antivirus, an antivirus must let the user permanently exclude processes. Otherwise it is simply a bad antivirus.

If you've been banned from a Discord server, it's because of the malicious DWMBlurGlass 3.0.

every programmer can add virus code to exe, but to public source code its can delete the virus code for public If you start to trust antiviruses, don't go to this forum, because almost all basic theme and classic theme activation tools are detected by antiviruses. For the reason that they perceive activating these themes as a malicious activity. BasicThemer6 does not contain malicious code.
