Neat mod, working great on my Win10 22H2. Any possibility of a Vista theme in addition to Win7? I did try using Vista's authui, completely borked my login. Had to use one of those sata2usb adapters to fix it, lol. Here's a modified ConsoleLogonUI DLL with the Vista theme. I had to ZIP it because it was too large for WinClassic. VistaStyleLogonHook.zip (923.2 KB)

Hi, I'm new here. I tried out version 1.0.4, I have logonui hooked on SecureUXTheme, it worked for me. Despite this, I'm kinda having a problem when I logon, on the logon screen, it only just shows the background, accessibility button, the shutdown button, and the branding, it doesn't show my profile picture, username, the password box, etc. It can sometimes bug out like that. Try CTRL+ALT+DEL combo, should make user and password box show up.

Oh I did have ctrl+alt+delete active and I have the lockscreen disabled, it just doesn't show the logon for some reason. It'll just be stuck on the background, branding, shutdown button, and accessibility button.

View AttachmentJust saw your reply. Nice, thank you very much! Funny story, I decided to try my hand at making my own, took me a while. I couldn't find a good transparent vista ultimate logo where I was looking, made my own out of an SVG I found. After some wrangling with p.net loading/saving 32bpp bitmaps ('cause it doesn't read the alpha channel correctly) and replacing them in Resource Hacker, I've finished. Then I log onto here after testing it out, to edit my comment, and I see you've already done it. If only I'd checked in 30 minutes after I posted. lol I'll post mine anyways, it'll include a dark version too. Also the original backgrounds, in a separate archive. Both in 7z, wouldn't fit in regular zip. (note: I did open up those dark backgrounds in p.net and remove the winVista logo that's normally in the lower left portion of the image.)

I used Winaero Tweaker to use ctrl alt delete and to disable lockscreen, but could you make an update so that this issue would be fixed (also update ConsoleLogon.dll too)?

You don't need the modified ConsoleLogon.dll from earlier releases anymore. If there are issues with this DLL please replace it back to your system's native ConsoleLogon.dll and see if the issue persists.

Made my own Vista and Longhorn-alike variations for latest release. Note: Vista variation doesn't have higher dpi branding images, they're transparent. And Longhorn variation doesn't have any at all.

Is there a logon ui that's just Windows Classic? Sadly no classic-themed UI for this specific software yet, although ClassicLogonShell already exists as an alternative

Is there a logon ui that's just Windows Classic? I said the same thing, a version identical to CLS would be great. I don't use CLS because there is a bug with UAC and Surun.

However, I see no technical impossibility to reproduce the CLS interface, DirectUI supports standard Windows controls without issue. And the program is well written, the back-end code is separated from the front-end code.

ye it was planned that way so that people could write their own uis for this, so that it was not just one ui, instead it was seperate uis for same backend

Sadly no classic-themed UI for this specific software yet, although ClassicLogonShell already exists as an alternative CLS is not viable for the vast majority of people for a number of reasons, most notably that its performance is atrocious and is simply an overlay that doesn't serve to replace the existing interface, resulting in *A LOT* of problems.

does it works on windows 11? ive seen people have issues with windows 11 using the consolelogon.dll that comes with windows 11 (will be fixed in the future), however if u replace consolelogon.dll from one from windows 10, such as the one that is in release 1.0.2, then it should work just fine
