This would be a great time to start looking for alternative OSes like Linux, Windows 11 is a lost cause. Microsoft keeps breaking shit! Well I'm actually kinda thinking of either downgrading to windows 8.1 or dualbooting with 8.1. I mean I never used windows 8 or 8.1 before.

Yeah that is a good idea also you can take Security Updates from Windows Sever 2012 and install them on Windows 8.1 that is from a video I watched on a YouTube Channel called Adventure in Nostalgia here is his channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCPqX5u8BadZl5R7SEQb4lOQ you can get updates till 2026 but you have to install the regular updates on Windows 8.1 first using LegacyUpdate legacyupdate.net/ cause the Windows update system thingy is broken if you don't install updates but without updates it can't fetch updates so use Legacy Updates to install those updates than follow what that guy says.

You can get it back by replacing ConsoleLogon.dll with the one from old versions of ConsoleLogonHook (for example, 1.0.2) Yeah, I'm using the ConsoleLogon.dll from version 1.0.2 but i'm just waiting for wiktorwiktor12 to make an update for it to work well for windows 11. And windows 10 is going EOL soon. the EOL for win10 22h2 is ending in 2025, but LTSC exists. 2019 LTSC ends support in 2027 i think, and 2021 IoT LTSC ends in 2032, so the win10 EOL is not going soon

Consumer EOL is on 2025 and that isn't changing anytime. Software can keep supporting 10 for 1-2 years depending on its market share. An example would be chrome support not ending till 2023 for windows 7, since windows 7 still had around %10-%25 market share.

That said, Windows has everything it takes to maintain a large market share for a long time to come, even for versions that are no longer updated. As of March 2024, Windows 10 still held almost 70% of the market share.

But older versions of Windows are flat out better than Linux and Modern Windows.

For version 1.0.8 and above, will you be able to let it be compatible for windows 11?

For release 1.0.7 and 1.0.6, please use my modded ConsoleLogonUI.dll from the last post from page 7 of this thread. For releases 1.0.5 and prior, please use authui.dll from Extras of the Windows 7 to 8 and 8.1 transformation pack. I have here the files for people that still use older versions of Console Logon Hook if they can't download it. Attachments:8 Style CLH.zip (1.43 MB)
