Aside from abandoned older email clients, these are the only modern ones I know of that still look pretty old
Pegasus mail looks more early 90's to early 2000's, but it's still updated and works fine with gmail
Seamonkey out of the box uses the default windows theme, and there's probably an aero theme floating around but I always liked this one
I personally use Thunderbird, and am working on some custom css skins for it including OE3, OE4, OE5, OE6, Windows mail, and Windows Live mail

I am still using OE6 now but I don't think it supports that new sign-in method that Outlook is switching to and I fear Gmail and other providers will follow suit soon.

Claws Mail is definitely a worthy suggestion. It supports Gmail, but requires an "insecure" (not really insecure) login to your Gmail account to work.

There's also Foxmail, but it's owned by Tencent, so yeah, it's up to you if you want to trust them with your personal email.

All of these other Email clients have the buttons in the wrong places. Having used OE for 25 years it's ingrained in me where the Send/Receive button is. Every other Email client has it where the button to compose a new E-mail should be.

Is it not possible to customize where the buttons are placed? I don't know as I've never used them. Just when I look at screenshots so I decide not to download them.
