windows xp / vista / 7 themeui and desk.cpl on server 2022

the server 03 or vista desk.cpl may have a saving issue
(in my current setup the amd64 work but not the 32b ones)

the ones from 6519 or 7 have issues launchin specific options showing the administrator blocked dialog if you use a version previous to 6519 on the "Windows ThemeUI Pages" clsid

the build 6519 has the vista links

the desk.cpl are renamed as the missing options redirect to the settings app if not renamed


"Windows ThemeUI Pages" clsid also control the launch options

windows xp vista 6519 have different launch options
for xp vista setups you should replace the system desk.cpl from the one from 03 , vista or 6519 or the links wont work


the "desktop icons dupicated.reg" if to show the desktop tab 2 times usefull if you replace it whit the server 2003 one

ISSUES


the themes pages has 2 possible crashes that are fixed whit using 7 uxtheme on "Windows ThemeUI Pages" clsid

the 1º is a instant crash on any theme . whit the fix the pages not crash but also not work NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX. on my current setup got fixed as I was swapping clsid between versions

the second crash is a instant crash on aero/basic theme or went selecting the aero basic theme colorscheme on classic theme. the fix make the page work correctly



install instructions
copy the uxthemes to the system32 and syswow64 folder

take ownership of the clsid's
