Maybe we could use old W11 explorer (still contains the old taskbar) together with old EP? (As new builds flag 24H2 as impossible to use old taskbar.) Or - maybe this is possible with Windhawk: (old) Explorer.exe could draw the old taskbar while original explorer would be still in its place (treated with EP and/or Windhawk mods, to be Classic Theme) + start menu with Open-Shell. Old Win11 taskbar does not start on later Win11. Only the one from Win10 does.

The network icon is missing because Microsoft crippled/removed pnidui.dll and/or van.dll What about just add those missing dlls (from same win build as explorer)? Together with problematic twinui.pcshell.dll? (Mentioned by Legofan with error screenshot). Old Win11 taskbar does not start on later Win11. Only the one from Win10 does.I know it is not starting. But there are specific reasons for that - so removing them would allow us to start W11 explorer. We do not know why there is a problem, but others may know. Maybe EP devs? Or MDL (there are guys who know Windows structure really deep) forums?

Try to enable injecting critical system processes in the Windhawk settings - it turns out to be necessary. You should remove critical system processes from the exclusion list. Also, it is not compatible with ExplorerPatcher (but this should not make any harm: EP will just not load when this mod is active).

Please excuse my English. I first installed Fake Explorer path and then Enables Win10 taskbar on Win11 24H2 but nothing happened, the Windows 11 taskbar remained. What could be the reason for this or what did I do wrong? The Windows version is Windows 11 24h2 Build 26 100.2161

Try removing the critical system processes from the windhawk exclusion list And how exactly do you do that? Windhawk settings, advanced settings, remove critical system processes from exclusion list

This should be the setting, right?
But the mod is not started, so nothing happens and even after a restart

Windhawk settings, advanced settings, remove critical system processes from exclusion list See the <critical_system_processes>, remove that, then it should work, if not, maybe ask Anixx

<critical_system_processes> removing in the Windhawk settings worked. However, I find it a little unsafe to remove critical system processes. In addition, the start menu is no longer on the left but in the middle above the taskbar. Restarting Windows Explorer.exe via the task manager is no longer possible, only End Task works and the screen remains blank until you start Explorer manually (via the task manager). In addition, the context menu of the taskbar no longer works properly (start button, time, free area of the taskbar, info center does not work with a right click and active applications do not work with a left or right click, so it does not open if you want to create multiple desktops). And last but not least, the language setting pops up in the top left corner every time you restart.

That’s what you have to cope with when it comes to a windows 10 taskbar on windows 11 24h2, that’s nothing to do with critical system processes

But how do I solve the problems? Downgrading explorer itself will cause problems, since this mod is still kinda experimental i would recommend you to use latest version of Explorer Patcher, which has a reimplemented 10 taskbar.
