This is a conspiracy theory as i said it is just a theory and a taboo subject criticizing these guys might just put you out of the political correctness of the computer discussions i have not been able to speak with Alex and if im wrong I apologize in advance , i do not have any hard-copy evidence on anything posted here
except drawing parallels in between the events and the way things played out
The Story:
With the popularity of windows In 1996 there was a project called freedows later got discontinued
it sparked new projects one of them is freedos.
The development of the free and open-source ReactOS started back in February 1998. But it was first introduced around 1996 with a project for implementing a replica of Windows 95. A group of open-source and free software developers started the project and named it FreeWin95
Unfortunately, the project couldn’t go
longer. Even after more than a year, there was no progress. Then Jason
Filby joined the team to recover the project. Finally, they named the
new project ReactOS, and it’s based on Windows NT functionality.
Jason Filby the man who coined the name ReactOS
Back in the day this was a noble idea people needed to get a true windows alternative and so people were allowed to commit
progress were just seen in 0.2.0 when Martin Fuchs and Alex Ionescu joined
On January 25 , 2004 ReactOS 0.2.0 was released
Back then there were features to be expected with every release
and but by 2008 it suddenly stopped
This is how reactos looked in 2007 up until today copy paste files are just placeholders no search files option the modern devs
are embarrassed about putting that placeholder up since its been there for years they simply hide it and instead they show you some fancy shmancy crappy
desktop theme that putting strain on the eyes which ofcaue is optional bloatware
So what really happened?
The ReactOS leadership threw Alex Ionescu Kernel developer out of ReactOS back in build 0.3.X in
Alex Ionescu leaving the ReactOS team in disappointment
Osnews Story of Alex Leaving
2007 it was perfectly installable in a virtual machine many files such as desk.cpl ,
timedate.cpl among other things actually worked in any windows the
parts that were built were pretty compatible you could drag drop files to windows and many would suprisingly work pretty well. The plan was set 2015 there
would finally be a release date Fast forward from 2007 the day he left
Here are 0.3.9 Reactos cpls running on windows 10 they can be downloaded in this thread
reactos was still booting up fine in version 0.3.9 using the tinykernel
a genious kernel contraption however Aleksey Bragin and the other
bastards had other plans he wanted Russian state funding for producing a
secure computer operating system that the
NSA has no hand in they even
established a ReactOS Russia Quickly the Software Giants got wind of
this they started to bribe the key project leaders until money blinded
them and they started to play along , the Reactos Russia was dismantled
in 2015 failing to meet their release deadline then again how could they? they fired most of the good
people on the team they knew tinykrnl was the future still they ditched
and insulted Alex brilliant work.
Showing ReactOS to Putin in person (ReactOS getting political )
The purpose of an OS is the userbase not what hardcoded backdoors governments can install
The Reactos Explorer programmer Martin
Fuchs
Martin Fuchs creator of Reactos Explorer
www.foxplanet.de/
The father of the Graphic user interface on reactos
the ReactOS team (now under russian management fired him)
then they started to bastardize the code of Ionescu
Adding undocumented modified linuxcalls to the kernel crashes appeared
for no real reason they show off how they run it under a linux
filesystem to impress people to tell you that they are actually doing something
but truth is .
You often wont get that far tinykrnl is totally destroyed when you first boot to desktop you get greeted by this:
edit (making a screenshot of vbox didnt work so i pasted another blue screen)
Trying to install reactos 4 on virtualbox renders it into a bluescreen of death game on each boot
though live version seems to work the reactos explorer seems to be at the same state it was a decade ago
Reactos died in 2007 back in build 0.3.9 you could actually install it
on hardware sure minimal generic drivers were there you could not really
install anything in driver manager the focus was all on a stable kernel
and just as he was nearly finished they slammed him with accusing his
hard work to be a nt4 leaked source code compiling which MADE NO SENCE
Tinykrnl was way tinyer then anything ever created it was meant to serve
as universally available to any x86 machine But Money Rules . Simple
things in explorer were never fixed until today you got a crippled
unfinished martin fuchs explorer and an wine internet expolorer
integrated ROSexplorer_new that added nothing no functional filesearch
(that would not be too hard to do) no NTFS system despite that some
other kicked out devs did one back in 2006-2007 What we got is a crash
prone ruthlessly manipulated Tinykernel mixed with parts of linux and
reactos set on an infinite loop . This corruption set back reactos 4
years already as the final release was planned in 2015 Fast forward to 4.1.1 it crashes even on a virtual machine
when 0.3.X would load just fine .
When i asked the developers on #reactos on irc.freenode.net they blamed virtualbox for their mistakes
My first attempt to do a vbox vhd install of reactos 0.3.9 in Virtualbox feel the power of Tinykrnl yet?
I remember back in the day in freenode.net i said to Alex your tinykrnl is pure genious and he told me : - Tell them that.
They threw out the most competent people of the project and we were left with this mishmash of wine , linux and bluescreen crashes.
Wine on a windows clone WHY? Alex Ionescu was against this stuff
We need to assemble these geniuses who got banned from committing to Reactos to start a whole new project based on 0.3.9 powered by tinykernel focusing on compatibility fixing software and hardware to be perfect compatible with windows a new project minus the dramaqueens
under a different name ofcause after all it is no coincidence that things that were perfectly working in reactos 0.3.9 like many of the cpl's among other things like the partially functional ros explorer this forum uses they are all from build 0.3.X
There were people aware of this trying to create their own thing like GreenteaOS Reactos forumthread on greentea
Bottom line we want a Free Windows OS that is not controlled neither by CIA nor The Russian Government the only one in control would be the user who is using it no hidden phoning home features no keyloggers just pure freedom
except drawing parallels in between the events and the way things played out
