(Alpha)
A complete Windows 7+ taskbar replacement. It's a simple .NET CLR (C# and C++) app which hides Shell_TrayWnd and replaces it with itself. Current features: - It uses system colors instead of predefined colors
- Working window manager
- A start button (compatible with Open-Shell Menu, if you need a custom button use SCTT not OS)
- A fully working old school systray
- Nice classic clock
- Pixel perfectly proportionate with the Win2K taskbar
- Is 28px instead of 30px (also automatically changes working area so that you don't get a gap)
- Works with SCT
SCT, SCTT, SCT+T, so many words, I'm confusedBasically here's how it all the terminology sticks together: - SCT: My original Classic Theme program. Bundles a ton of classic theme related utilities/files to make it easy to install classic theme fast
- SCTT: This program. Just a classic styled taskbar replacement, does not contain any classic theme functions.
- SCT+T: This is the confusing part. SCT+T stands for SimpleClassicTheme+Taskbar. It indicates any setup where SCTT is launched and managed by SCT.
Screenshots There are no screenshots yet
Command Line Usage
SimpleClassicThemeTaskbar.exe [OPERATION] {ARGS..} Operations: - --exit Closes any SCT managed instance of SCTT
TODO
Download
My suggestion is that you install SCTT via the SCT (link) settings menu. SCT will do all the complicated script work for you and automatically enable everything correctly on logon.
If you want to download a binary and use it manually you'll have to wait until it becomes a seperate utility. ALL BUILDS ARE CURRENTLY USABLE INSIDE OF SCT ONLY
Requirements:- .NET 5.0
- Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 (x86 | x64)
KNOWN ISSUES: - Graphical glitch in systray
- Systray icons don't properly show their corresponding menu's
- Does not apply correct system fonts
How do I report bugs?
NOTE: Make sure you have the latest version before reporting any bugs! It's simple. Go to this page and create an issue on the Github issue tracker. Use the format provided!

Can you give an exact description of what you're doing? Are you opening the SCTT executable or are you enabling classic theme via SCT?

Same error? Or does it just not work? It's the same error You HAVE to use SimpleClassicTheme to get it to work. You cannot use ClassicThemeTray or any other program.

Is there a C:\SCT\Taskbar directory? If not or if it is empty, download SimpleClassicThemeTaskbar from here: github.com/AEAEAEAE4343/SimpleClassicThemeTaskbar/releases and extract it into C:\SCT\Taskbar. Then you do that process again and see if it opens when you click "Enable".

Try deleting HKCU/SOFTWARE/1337ftw and C:/SCT
