youtu.be/l0WyCAZDR0AI wanna make my Windows 10 look like Windows 95, like in this video, what should I do? I've tried to install "ClassicTheme.exe" but it was buggy the first time, I'm on Windows 10 Pro 1809 17763.379

That's my video. Sadly, if you had checked the comments you'd see I'd address the fact beginning with Build 1809, Classic Theme is screwed up. You'll need to be on an earlier build or the LTSB 2016 branch of Win10 to have it functional, I'm afraid.
EDIT: This information is now seriously outdated. As of the time of this edit (2023), everything is ok.

Oh ok, well you got the best theme in my opinion, did you used only "ClassicTheme.exe"? or other apps? I'd like to change all icons, and colors of the menu of Classic Shell, but I don't know how to do. As you can see here: a.uguu.se/D1wMANwQjdD8.pngThe taskbar is grey, like Windows 95, but the menu of Classic Shell is white with the sidebar blue, I'd like to change it to grey like the original Windows 95, and remove that thing above "Menu start (Windows)". But apart from the Theme, maybe other things can still works on Windows 10 Pro 1809 17763.379, like old apps, or the icons, and the volume thing... I've seen that you use "ASuite" but I don't know if it is better then Classic Shell in personalization... Edit: Well i removed that "Menu Start" on the menu, still not know how to change the color of menu anyway... Things i still need : -Icons -Old Apps -Startup and shoutdown sounds -Theme when released

Things i still need : -Icons -Old Apps -Startup and shoutdown sounds -Theme when released My system is heavily modified. I used Resource Hacker and a program called CustomizerGod to alter system files' icons. There is no "theme" to be released, my setup took me hours to do. If you want to replicate it, you'll need to do the same. Tbh I don't recommend going that route. Stick with just Classic Shell, and make changes to your start menu. Asuite is just a program launcher. If you want icons, look on DeviantArt for Windows icon packs. It depends on whether you're willing to pay $2.50 for it. I say go for it if you are.

I'm not a fan of the classic theme but it looks nice I just want the windows vista feeling back but unfortunately there are not many themes for windows 10 most are old from the year 2016 and buggy I often see people do things about windows 8.1 If it were me, I would definitely at least consider it. Windows 8.1 is a great OS with the right tweaks, dare I even say one of my favorites. It's not perfect, but it's generally a lot better than Windows 10 is in regards to customization, and even better than Windows 7 in some ways. Even if you don't use the classic theme, there are definitely reasons to use it. Here are some pros and cons I can think of off the top of my head. Pros:Microsoft isn't constantly making changes to Windows 8 like they are with Windows 10, so the tweaks you make will probably end up lasting much longer. Compare that to Windows 10, where a feature update will undo the majority of more advanced tweaks and customizations, which is pretty annoying if you ask me. On top of that, since a lot of Explorer is still pretty similar to Windows 7, you can still customize a decent amount of the UI. And if you're going for a Vista feel, that'll be much easier to achieve in Windows 8. Cons:It only has an extra three years of support over Windows 7, and since its market adoption wasn't as strong, I don't really think developers will continue to support it for very long after that. Just look at happened with Vista, which was also received very poorly. Many developers ended their support almost immediately after Microsoft did, and even before that in some cases (such as with Google Chrome). I hope I'm wrong, but I could easily see that happening with Windows 8, unfortunately. There are good reasons to go with either, but it's up to you. Pick whatever you think will best suit your needs.

I went to start9.menu/ and the last update is from Feb of last year. Is the project dead?

Splitwirez has been keeping me up with its development since he first started work on it it, all the way back when it was just a start menu. It's definitely not dead, in fact I'd say it's coming along pretty well. Still got a ways to go before it can be considered finished, but the team has made a tremendous amount of progress on it, and I think there's a lot of potential for it to be something great.

Aside from that i think we need some custom cpls a taskbar.cpl file made from an old explorer.exe.mui or modifying desk.cpl the closest to a desk.cpl for windows 10 would be the windows vista version because they added a strange non-classic look to that in windows 7.
