I mentioned this earlier in the thread but it's still a major annoyance with the classic theme so thought I would bring it up again in case any kind person feels like trying to fix it:
When using multiple monitors, the taskbar is bugged on the second monitor and is too small. I get that taskbar on multiple monitors wasn't a thing until Windows 8, but it's a thing now and this is a major annoyance and having it on just one screen hinders productivity for me.

Are you talking about Win11 taskbar or Win10 taskbar and whether you are using EP to mitigate compatibility with classic theme or you are using the corresponding Windhawk mod?

Does the issue remain when you use ExplorerPatcher? If so, make a bugreport there and if they fix it, the Windhawk mod can be synced with it. Windhawk mod is a port of the code from EP.

I really wish there was a mod that brought back full functionality to the Control Panel like how it was in Windows 7!

Yup, control panel does not work like that, ever seen Brawllux’s control panel restoration? If the control panel was like that it would be done in a flash, unless we find a windhawk mod that loads apis from an older file, then there’s no luck, we’ve tried hard to get those cpls functional but no success

Well its such a shame Windows went from being a good OS to a straight up trash one! Thanks Satya Nadella.

Maybe a mod that forcefully disables the Windows 10 language indicator and replaces it with the Windows 7 language bar?
This could be useful mostly for UAC when the language bar is usually not available except as a fallback option, even when it's turned on in UWP Settings.

Also, fixing up that Quick Launch issue would be nice.

A mod to customize the Vista Sidebar's backdrop. If it's possible insert your own custom texture behind the gradient. Or, if it's not possible allow to enable the solid black background that's only possible running the 32-bit version of the sidebar under Server 2003 compatibility. I don't think it's DWM related since DWM Unextend Frames doesn't change it's behavior. While 8gadgetpack does offer setting a texture in the background the developer decided to ignore my email which I sent back in 2022 in regards to custom textures, not to mention the over all sidebar gadget is pretty terrible and buggy otherwise. I did make a simple vbnet application to act as the custom texture, however for no reason at all despite my best efforts of using ahk, desk pins or even some basic code on loop to send the app behind the sidebar, it just z fights at random.

Isn't a direct mod request but more of an enhancement. Would be cool if someone adds the option to make the taskbar behave like 7's taskbar in classic theme to the mod that adds 3D buttons back to the taskbar. Because right now said mod treats pinned taskbar items like they were open applications and adds a border to them. And ye, the addition of the classic styled show desktop button from 7 would fit with this as well.

Something I'd be interested in seeing is a mod that restores how dwm draws aero snap outlines with the classic theme.
In windows 7 it's a transparent rectangle with a border I'm not sure what colors it uses, but it definitely doesn't follow system colors. In windows 10 I believe it does the same thing it does with the default aero theme, which seems to be an empty window with a shadow.
