Would love a mod that would bring back the classic style notification tray thats in Windows XP and 2000(?) (like in RetroBar) What do you mean? Have a screenshot? Based on the fact that he's using RetroBar as an example, I think he means the way the tray expansion behaved prior to Windows 7, where the icons would extend onto the taskbar instead of showing the tray overflow popup, I don't have any screenshots of that, though.

This setting exists in the control panel. One checkbox and you have no tray overflow.

They most likely mean hidden notification area items sliding out into the the taskbar (usually to the left) instead of popping out in a new window. This was only a thing in Windows XP and Vista; Windows 2000 did not support hiding tray items.

Pardon the lack of clock... somehow accidentally turned it off. Top is the classic variant (from RetroBar, dont have a Win2K setup available right now) and bottom one is the "default" notification tray. (both pics are from win10) (Edit. Yes, apparently it was a WinXP-Vista feature. It's been a while since ive used 2000 with so many tray icons.)

You can make the icons to appear always in tray, is it OK for you?

I haven't used social media in a while so this will be a little awkward. Is a mod which restores the folder backgrounds from XP for specific folders (for example library folders, main library folder included) possible? With like custom images and stuff I tried doing it with QTTabBar but it comes with its own baggage, and I feel like a dedicated mod like this would be really cool

Prior to Windows 7, it used a regular system list view, which supported these corner images as a standard feature called watermarks.
I added support for these for SysListView32 in ClassicExplorer, but they're a bit weirder to support with Windows 7's DirectUI view. In that case, I recommend looking into this project for DUI-specific implementation details: github.com/Maplespe/explorerTool

Might be tricky, but there should be a mod that redirects toasts notifications to balloon ones. I know you can use a registry key to disable the forced usage of them, but many programs such as UWP apps and Chromium use toast notifications anyway. If anyone knows how to do so, please.

I want to request a mod that fixes the classic window frames in Electron-based apps.
When Classic theme is enabled, the borders of Electron apps appear in Classic theme, and initally look OK, but if the window is dragged to the edge of the screen, it becomes glitched.
The only workaround currently is to force the border from Aero Lite theme using a Windhawk mod, but it would be good to have a mod that just fixes the Classic theme's frame appearance.

Would love to see something similar for current Firefox versions, which are probably never going to get fixed from here on out.

You need to disable desktop icon shadows
