You'd probably just be able to edit them in the msstyles.

Re-creating favorites folders section in the explorer's navigation pane. Classic Explorer Treeview manipulates that specific area so maybe it could be forked to add any folder/file into there. Today I was messing around with some custom themes and found a Vista theme that managed to do it via shellstyle.dll (shell32_uifile - 52) shellstyle.dll (1.03 MB) Quick Access is a direct downgrade since it offers very little customization or reliability. Favorites stored shortcuts in a folder in the user profile and never broke. Quick Access lost anything I managed to add after I ran CCleaner. Even bothering to add anything there via Winaero Tweaker explorer froze for over 10 seconds since I added a few network drives via a symlink bypass.

This is a rather small one, but it should hopefully be possible.
In XP the arrow for the selected sort option in Details view is right next to the text, but in newer versions it's at the very top center:
Much prefer the XP look myself, because the eyes are going to be focused on the text already to change the sort, so it is nice to readily see the arrow. It is also a bit larger.

OK for me:
Maybe you are not using the SysListView32. There is a mod for this.

Ah, my mistake. It's an issue with the theme I was using (Luna10). Classic theme is unaffected, so the theme itself would have to be modified. I thought SysList would take care of it as well, but it does not unfortunately.

I have 2 suggestions: Can someone please make a mod that could run a script when the accent color is changed? (Useful to sync AWM and normal accent colors) Run a script (or a bunch of .reg files) when changing theme to apply AWM metrics.

What about a mod, only if it is possible, that brings back the open/close window animations from Vista/7/8.x instead of using the default Windows 10/11 open/close Window animations? This would be for those who want to get a really-near accurate Vista, 7, or 8/8.1 theme.

It's pretty difficult to achieve this because it's really hard to understand how exactly DWM works, but it's being worked on slowly.

I just hope that this would be achieved though even if it's difficult.

iirc the old window animations rely on 3D transforms that no longer exist in dwm as of windows 10

iirc the old window animations rely on 3D transforms that no longer exist in dwm as of windows 10 The graphics engine is certainly still capable of 3D transforms. The composition engine itself simply doesn't have any way to report them anymore. That functionality would need to be restored, and it's a little bit tricky because they reworked how the composition engine library (uDWM) and graphics engine library (DWMCore) interact in Windows 10, so it's pretty different from how things were done in 8.1 and prior.
