So, I did in-place upgrade from 22000 (21H2) to 22631 (23H2).
1. After the upgrade, my taskbar has black background:
2. There is no menu in folders!
WTF? I have not read about these troubles before on the forum!

anixx I've been wary of this version of Windows 11 for a long time. But every time I ask what it is (intended for those who would be users of this version.), I receive no answer, or evasive answers. Regarding the taskbar, maybe you can just restart Explorer. Concerning the menu bar, others have already had this issue (but in the version 22h2). A solution seems to have been found. However, I am worried about the future, because it will eventually no longer be possible to replace ExplorerFrame.dll with that of the first Windows 11. I re-reported the issue here, and suggested the development of a Windhawk mod here.

This does not help. All symbols have been downloaded already.
P.S. Also the Wi-Fi flyout does not work.

This mod makes Explorer not to start at all.

Okay, after replacing of ExplorerFrame.dll the menubar re-appeared and also the window animation partially got fixed (before the change the window first appeared black). Now some folders appear half-grey.
The taskbar issue and the wi-fi flyout issues still remain.

The issues with taskbar appearance were caused by the mods intended for Win11 taskbar. These mods did not affect the Win10 taskbar under build 22000 (21H2).

This mod makes Explorer not to start at all. It probably conflicts with another mod for explorer.

In this build again we see live folders (folder thumbnails), and they are very slow. On 22000 they only showed if a folder empty or not and were fast.

Well, this registry key disables folder thumbnails (need to delete thumbnail cache afterwards):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders\Shell] "Logo"="None"

Another issue: after logging off and on, the graphics acceleration is off when the classic theme mod is enabled. It is, possibly, related to the reported DWM crashes when using this mod. It sees, this Windows version tries to restart DWM once the user logs off.

Maybe, DWM restarts only when there is a need to change theme? I need time to watch the behavior.

Personally, I rename this key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DefaultColors\Standard

This method does not entirely disable Live Folders, but makes it like on build 22000: only if the folder is empty or not is indicated.

Okay, after replacing of ExplorerFrame.dll the menubar re-appeared and also the window animation partially got fixed (before the change the window first appeared black). I can confirm some of these issues.
They are caused by Explorer Patcher.
I've opened a thread on Github, but as far as I can tell, not even the most recent version of EP will fix that. (I've even uploaded a little video to show the problem)
I cannot confirm that the taskbar is black. Never had that problem.
However, my exact version is 22631.2861 I block every update because updating would mean that the menu bar of Explorer windows will disappear (when EP is installed). That also seems to be a known problem and I'd rather wait until they finally fix it.
I've also brought that up on Github github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/issues/2676So I can confirm two of the three issues you're facing. (Replacing the explorerframe.dll could help to mitigate those problems, however I wouldn't do that (anymore) since this could cause other problems.) P.S: I also had the problem with the missing Windows security window when I upgraded from Windows 10 to Win11. There was absolutely no way to get it back. I've tried all the solutions you can find online, none of them worked. However, on two other computers upgrading from Win10 to Win11 worked flawlessly.

They are caused by Explorer Patcher. Is it because of the Classic Theme Mitigations option or solmething else?
