my only question, how to customize windows logonui (login to user) without apps?

Works really good for me! I modified some DLLs to use Vista branding instead of 7 branding and it turned out good View Attachmentif your just changing background and branding u can just add the vista branding to image 120 in basebrd and use windows 7 logon background changer to change the background |

Hi, I'm temporarily back for some time now and i've been wondering, will there ever be a Windows 8.x style? I can maybe try to modify the DUI and maybe it will work? i think that the one in win10 build 10074 might work, but i have no idea. i only say someone creating a 10 to 10 build 10074 transformation and he (or she) had the 10074 logonui and it looked close to win8.x (only that the user account picture is rounded) |

You cannot customize it with apps either. This thread is about a recreation of the DUI logon screen that you can render after hooking the console logon. Stock Windows 10 logon screen is XAML/WINUI so you cannot modify it with anything. We don't even know how to extract the contents of its files. |

I tried authui.dll from Vista and renamed it to au7hui.dll. When I do that I get this endless error spam.  |

for now i'd recommend just transferring the image resources from the vista authui to the 7 authui dll

I didn't before since I was running cmd as administrator, but it finally works now as soon as I run cmd as trustedinstaller and so far the login screen works well!
