if your just changing background and branding u can just add the vista branding to image 120 in basebrd and use windows 7 logon background changer to change the background importing image 120 from windows 7's basebrd.dll into windows 10 basebrd.dll dosen't change anything for me Branding for logon screen are handle in ConsoleLogonHook.dll, just grab that file and open in reshacker and find the branding.

Nice work, I like this!
Talking about branding in "ConsoleLogonUI.dll", anyone knows a way how to replace it? I'm talking about what exact type of BMP it expects? ResourceHacker says it's 32bpp, but my custom 32bpp bmps are different from the one stored in the file (compared them with HxD). Trying to replace branding image with my custom 32bpp bmp results in "DirectUI::DuiXMLParser::SetXMLFromResource failed." error.

I am so F***ing happy, Thank you for this
EDIT: I will definitely use this when it is stable, sometimes the logon screen just crashes and sometimes it asks me for ctrl alt del, which I do not have enabled, and sometimes the logon box just doesnβt show

If somehow this manages to brick my computer or anything, can a system restore point undo all these? And what happens if Windows decides to install an update?
