I imported all the registry but I didn’t do regsvr32, is there any quick way to register them all, also, it just gave me an error when I tries to do regsvr32 on them Ignore these errors, as long as these dlls can be loaded. The only one that actually worked was ServiceMonikerSupport.dll, but still wont open |

well, i tried to do that with windows 7 files, and it doesn't work for me. i can't even do regsvr32 on them, cause it doesn't find something with dllregisterserver. i will try with vista files to see if it's an issue with win7 files, or with my win10 install.

tried with vista sp2 files and i got one or two dll's registered + imported the reg files form the v3.0\windows communication foundation folder but it didn't work. trying to turn on the service gives me an error 1053

So you restored the service stuff too? Impressive,if you allow me I want to include this in my pack. I will also use this information to get some other stuff working too. Nice find. The Windows update control panel I've wanted for ages Why do you want windows update to break every modification you made very badly? |

It could still be used to install new drivers, PowerShell 7 updates, Office updates and whatever other crap they serve through WU |

Yo urbanender, do you think you could restore Parental controls from windows 7/8? idk. I only did restoring Vista Parental Control in Windows 7 a few years ago. But it was not very stable. It would crash explorer randomly, and the interface was not complete like Vista, compare to Vista it lacked some functions. And you need to restore all of rating systems (ESRB, pegi, etc) too. So restoring parental control is the most boring and annoying thing I think. (So freaking much registry keys I need to find and merge) |
