Again, seems to be the default. Maybe you modifed setupapi.dll.mun instead?

It says file is deleted once clicking on the link. I think it was because that file was also showing up as the default ugly-iconed setupapi.dll.

Small pack update : mega.nz/file/gZ1HiCYQ#nZLhGU7rvMCsy9jDqx3T2fy0k38hy95TgrppbIOZrAk (I actually did this days ago but forgot to upload it lol) But honestly it doesn't really matter that much since the only changes I have made are integrating the icon fixes from ihatemetro (actually that integration might even be outdated) and some other stuff that I have forgotten about and there are more updated packs above me. Maybe I'll go back at this one day and do a full conversion because when I switch back to Windows 7 I just see that there are still a lot of differences that I can't integrate on the .msstyle pack and have to be done externally. Oh, by the way, the theme atlas shouldn't be really applied unless there's mistakes in the .msstyle atlas that need to be fixed doing it with the same atlas as the theme's atlas just ends up causing more performance bloat for no reason.

Make sure that you have 7iconpack1507-1809.zip or 7iconpack1903+.zip (either, it really depends which Windows 10 version) and in the readmefirst you have version 9 in the changelog.

Did you modify devmgr.dll and workfolderscontrol.dll? These files contain the device manager and work folders control. As for personalization, it was stored in desk.cpl or so. (I don't remember which file exactly contained the personalization icon, I know there's imageres.dll, but there was also some file that contained personalization icon)

Make sure it has a changelog and that it says "Version 9" in there, as WorkFoldersControl and devmgr got patched there. (In fact, Version 4 already has those) Setupapi.dll.mun needs to be modified for devmgmt icons, however portable devices icon is in an unknown location.

I am using my own icons modifying them directly in the dll but they aren't changing
I created a Setupapi.dll.mun in system resources as it doesn't exist only exists as Setupapi.dll in system32 i wonder if i created a devmgr.dll.mun would that then work? or if you have a working devmgr.dll and workfolderscontrol.dll you could share

I do have devmgr.dll and workfolderscontrol.dll in the icon pack, you can extract and then put it in the DLL using resource hacker. Device Manager icons are actually a bitmap resource, so you have to modify those too. (Bitmap section in devmgr.dll) You may have to modify workfolders.exe as well. For setupapi.dll you need to NOT modify the one in System32 (it's digitally signed) and modify setupapi.dll.mui instead. Create a setupapi.dll.res, put your icons inside, and then add it into setupapi.dll.mui. If none of this works, refresh your icon cache. See here: www.howtogeek.com/232779/how-to-rebuild-a-broken-icon-cache-in-windows-10/

On a side not why I'm trying to compile a complete pack is for this reason alone if we can compile a complete pack like mine where all you need to do is "take control" of your windows folder and rename every original .dll .mun .mui etc to .del then just copy and paste the ones included in the pack and restart explorer then it is so much easier than trial and error on which file to modify its all based on others experiences which makes it easier for everyone if all they need to do is navigate rename and copy

Select the pack .zip, click patch, click "Ok" on the dialog, and you are done. No need to fumble around with permissions, renaming (especially files that are "in use"), finding files, and stuff. Also, for things that I need to modify "live", I usually just use ExecTI for copying, modifying, and deleting files from the Windows folder. So much more convenient than having to take ownership, check all the permissions, and then having to click "Apply".

how do you get 7tsp to work? Try using the one in Ibradude's pack, that one works for me.
