his doesn't work for me either how much easier is it to use than my method? I'm also having some wierd incorrect parameters error trying to put netframework 3.5 on my comp. Now that we're all compiling a great pack i could always start over from scratch ( i run 4 HD's one is dedicated just to windows so i never have to worry about lost files)its not too hard to get back up especially if 7tsp is quicker and easier

Try setting compatibility to Windows 7. My method does not require the painful way of taking ownership, nor does it require completely replacing in-use critical files.

You can actually mod themecpl.dll to get the old links back (Instead of linking to ugly tablet UI "settings" app that deserves to get deprecated like M$ is doing to the poor control panel), to the desktop wallpaper and the colour panel (which is almost useless unless if you want to enable autocolourization). Works on all win10 and 11 versions.
Do this using resource hacker.
1. Find this line: <NavigateButton id="atom(DesktopBackgroundNavigateButton)" layoutpos="top" layout="verticalflowlayout(0,2)" sheet="PersonalizationHubStyle" class="ThemeElementGroup" active="keyboard" shellexecute="ms-settings:personalization-background" accname="Desktop Background">
2. Replace shellexecute="ms-settings:personalization-background" with navigationtargetrelative="pageWallpaper"
3. Find this line: <NavigateButton layoutpos="top" layout="verticalflowlayout(0,2)" sheet="PersonalizationHubStyle" class="ThemeElementGroup" active="keyboard" shellexecute="ms-settings:personalization-colors" accname="Color">
4. Replace shellexecute="ms-settings:personalization-colors" with navigationtargetrelative="pageColorization"

Modding the CTRL ALT DEL screen is currently impossible. For other dialogs it may be possible using theming. (In fact, those blue arrows are actually just the green arrows)

That's good to know, maybe one of these days, who knows with Microsoft restricting so many things.

Can anyone find out how to change this Icon when using OldNewExplorer not sure if OldNewExplorer64.dll would effect it or whether it is explorerframe i have tried to mod explorerframe.dll.mun and explorerframe.dll but am unsure about how to add it to OldNewExplorer64.dll Add an icon to explorer.exe.mui in C:\Windows\en-US (or whatever your locale is). Make sure it is named "1", and has your locale at the ending. (1033 if en-US). There is also an icon pack above you can use, it changes most icons to Windows 7 ones. I've been trying to change the same icon in the ribbon to be the windows 7 one, and I've tried basically anything, I've tried what this post has mentioned aswell, but the icon doesnt want to change. I am really desparate to change it, as it's literally the only icon on my system that's remaining unchanged.

The aeroglass site linked is gone. What's the alternative? I can't figure out how to do with with curtains as suggested.

"This program does not support the version of Windows your computer is running." I'm on LTSC 2019, or version 1809.

Try downloading it from archive.org, here. That's what I did.

Is this just a backup of the old website, or does it mean Big Muscle has taken over development ?
